I don't see them as fashionable really. Hell I don't really care for anything mac on the aesthetics side. I will say their OS is damn stable though. But my wife (user of said planned new laptop) doesn't do well with software changes let alone OS changes but I think that is inevitable. Plus everything else in the house is windows aside from my android phone.

If you have anything else.... You're either considered against mainstream or worse "poor"
I have a friend, couldn't get laid because he had a lenovo, then he got a macbook boom, success..
It's not that women are actually shallow, it's just like when you wear shabby clothing, people judge accordingly...
I am not making a statement about what's right, or how things should be, This is just how it IS right now...
Anyone who knows about computers know that the above perceptions are misguided, but that's how the world is right now..
This is true for most anyone NOT into tech. There are a surprising number of these people. problem is, these are the same people who have money and would buy things from you or your services..
