My laptop with Vista. It is my oldest PC although the OS isn't near retirement yet.

I'D HAVE TO SAY MY OLDEST COMPUTER THAT STILL RUNS IS A COMMODORE 64 FROM 1983. I'VE ALSO GOT SEVERAL APPLE MACINTOSH COMPUTERS FROM 1987 TO 1989 THAT ARE IN FULL RUNNING CONDITION. THESE ARE THE ORIGINAL ONES WITH THE 9" MONOCHROME SCREENS.

NOW FOR WINDOWS MACHINES...I HAD AN OLD COMPAQ PORTABLE FOR A WHILE, BUT THE POWER SUPPLY IN IT BROKE SO I THREW IT OUT. NOW I'VE GOT A COUPLE COMPAQ 486 LAPTOPS. ONE, FROM 1994, IS RUNNING WINDOWS 95 (AND ON THE WI-FI AS WELL), AND A FEW PENTIUM PC'S FROM 1995/95. ONE IS A GATEWAY2000 FULL TOWER RUNNING WINDOWS 3.1 HOOKED UP TO THE INTERNET, AND THE OTHER IS A COMPAQ PRESARIO RUNNING WINDOWS 98. I'VE ALSO GOT A PENTIUM LAPTOP SOMEWHERE, BUT THE CHARGER FOR IT QUIT A WHILE AGO.

I'M GOING TO BE TAKING A TRIP NEXT WEEK AND THE WEEK AFTER, BUT ONCE I'M BACK, I CAN FIRE UP A FEW OF THOSE MACHINES AND TAKE PICTURES OF THEM IF Y'ALL ARE INTERESTED.

Wow, that is impressive to say the least. I would love to see pics of your gear man (take that how you want :)). I can appreciate old comps, my first computer was a hand-me-down Leading Edge i8080 w/ a 30MB MFM HD and a low density 5 1/4 floppy drive. Kids got it easy today :P

I have some old Sun servers and a Cobalt Qube 2 and some Raq 2 which are probably the oldest I have.  They all work, but are not in active service at the moment.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I have an IBM Aptiva that is still running on Windows 95.

That was my first 'modern' PC! I think my parents still use it.

It came from radio shack and was $3,000! But it came with a notebook full of cdroms with various software titles.

I have one that works as well, but my first PC was the earlier Vic-20. Then, a Tandy 1000 TL with a Hayes 2400 baud modem that I used to get online and run my parents phone bill up. Man, it was expensive to get online back then!

That was my first PC as well. I used it until I was about 8 or 9. I never asked them how much it cost, but they said it was expensive back then. Mine has a Pentium 2 in it.

My uncle has a few other PC's still. I know for sure he has one with DOS, Windows 3.0, and maybe 3.1 as well.

Not very old.  Probably a Pentium 4 from 2002 or so.

My oldest intel / x86 PC that works is an ibm ps/2 p75, and it runs Slackware Linux, not Micro$ux Winbl0ws

I also have a:
Commodore 64 SX executive portable
Apple ][+
2 Macintosh SE
Gateway Nomad laptop (limited function, all drives have failed)
Yamaha music computer
Tandy TRS-80 (new model with color support)

An old Gateway desktop from the 90's that sits somewhere in the basement now... And before that I had a Macintosh, but that's gone now.

There's something about the individuality in many old computer designs.  Before they went through the beige box phase.
