Alright, so the weirdest thing happened today.
First, some backstory. While I was in Japan, I bought a copy of (the 100th anniversary edition of) Anne of Green Gables because I needed a book to read on my flight(s) back. I'm pretty sure I was the first person to actually read that copy, as it was essentially brand new. There was a note written on the inside cover that read "Dear Yuka, I hope you enjoyed your stay in our home! Love, Mr. and Mrs. Jones" I lost the copy on the flight from LAX to DFW. I never got to finish the book.
The other day, I ordered a new copy of Anne, as I felt like finishing the book. Just for kicks, I bought the same edition of the book. On the inside front cover, there's a note. Not the same note, of course, that would be way too weird. The note in this one reads, "2/10 (I assume the month/year) To Mary, Happy 11th Birthday! Love Auntie Helen and Uncle Randy." It's in the same corner as the other note, too.
Crazy.
Have you ever had something like this happen to you?
