cleaning before re-lubing

How does one go about cleaning switches before re-lubing?
IBM Model M SSK, Filco MJ2 Ninja TKL with Reds ergo-clears, CM Storm QFR 55g Whites, Poker II with Reds

for the stems and springs..

Take the Whole-lot... put into small container with 99.9% alcohol.. and gentle soak and shake..

The inside of the housing....  clean all the places you lubed.

If you lubed the leaves of the contact spring.. DO NOT clean it.. it is far too delicate component and very easily damaged by back and forth whipping.
