"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

yea.. fear of the dark is innate.. as is fear of the unknown.. that's the same reason why we subscribe to religious doctrine.. it provides a firm albeit illogical explanation for forces beyond our influence..

Yea man.. if you get regular hiv, it just kills you..

but if you get ghost hiv, that's for as long as you're a ghost, which might well be forever.. depending on which creed you subscribe to.

Man, there was a time when I really liked the idea of ghosts.
Used to stay up late and creep myself out watching Ghost Hunters and Unsolved Mysteries.

Good times.

Ooh!  Ghost story time!

I had a friend that always studied in his kitchen.  Often he would take breaks, resting his head on the table for a nap.  One night after taking a nap, he noticed a white figure in the corner of his eye.  He turned his head to see who it was but there was no one there.  He dismissed it as a figment of his imagination and continued studying.

Later the white figure reappeared but disappeared when he turned towards it.  It was then he believed he was seeing a White Lady (Wikipedia link).

The white figure reappeared once more and he ran out of the kitchen up to his room.  He went to the bathroom to wash his face and that's when he discovered that...there was a piece of rice stuck to his eyelid.
