What are you eating for dinner!
« on: Fri, 30 January 2015, 18:54:20 »

10+ points to anyone who can guess what this is
It's a food that's not commonly found in other places of the US.

Woo! That's the only regional fast food chili place I know of :)

Lays in your stomach like a cinder block, but it's so good.

My girl is making chile colorado. She said it might not be ready tonight so it might be prepped and a substitution made, which usually means ordering pizza or some other food, haha.

Looks really good! I had the inconvenience of having no food in the fridge other than a key lime pie, so I just went to go get something fast and cheap.

I love Indian food without the meat. The curries and sauces and soups and breads.

So, what's the deal with chili in Cincinnati? I went a few years ago and it was everywhere, then you go to Cleveland and... it's nowhere to be found. What amazing chili event happened to Cincinnati?

The recipe started in Cincinnati, only until recently I believe a few opened up in the Cleveland and Columbus area. There are 5 in Florida, as well as a bunch in Kentucky.

duck seasoned with pears.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
