I've come to realize something lately.

Have you ever noticed there's always two HHKB threads in the keyboards at any given time?
If you ever bothered to click them, you'll notice that the people that make these threads are either very curious or angry?
Most of all however, they are fearful.
As we all know: Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

What I'm trying to say is that the HHKB is clearly the dark side of the thock.

That's cuz part of the  Topre Lore is its expensiveness, putting it in the realm of a Luxury product..  Even though it's no more complex a hunk a plastic as any other keyboard.

The Type Heaven breaks that illusion, because it was designed to be a "budget" board.

So it's the Ghetto version of Topre, so-to-speak..   It is the luxury product without the luxury moniker.. greatly reducing its allure to the "elitist-mentality" crowd..


Regardless..  Topre-Koolaid  is a GH favorite..

The  issue when I got the Ergodox is that it made me realize that Ergonomics is NOT JUST a keyboard..

When I had to change the tilt angles of the Ergodox in multiple axis, I also began to modify other features of my desk..

Sitting height..  Typing surface height.. Tray height.. Mouse placement.. 


It's an entire world that must be manipulated to fit one's body..


If someone just gets the Ergodox and wants their RSI to go away,  it's not nearly enough..

The computer lifestyle is unforgiving if you don't put in the time to DO IT RIGHT.

Didn't last even 1 hour..  had to sit down..  LOL   I even stood on the hard foam ddr pad I had and everything..   

It's so hard to stand, i couldn't concentrate at the computer at all

apparently tay zonday has a standing desk which he uses for like what 10 hours straight or something during streams, he seems to be doing perfectly fine

I didn't really think much of the topre hardness..  UNTIL I tried these super super cheap keyboards that came with some no-name oem computer that they got at the office..

They were sooo soft.. almost linear in feel, because the "break" is so subtle and clean..

It was then, that I knew that Rubber domes should be as soft as possible..


The tough topre domes are for crass, unsophisticated weeaboos who can't form an opinion outside of Japan-Wh00t....
