New keyboard recommendation
« on: Thu, 21 May 2015, 03:29:33 »
Hi, I'm currently using a standard full sized keyboard that I bring to class but I'm finding it a bit of a hassle to carrying cause it doesn't fit in my bag.

I'm looking to purchase something smaller for better portability. $300-350 will probably be my max budget.

Requirements:
  • MX Cherry Brown
  • Detachable cable
  • Compatible with common keycaps

Preference (not necessary):
  • Minimal design
  • LED lighting
Sorry, I'm just a newbie

Not sure man. The ones sold con massdrop are supposed to ship sometime in June, I guess they will start producing the backlit version after that. TBH although it looks cool, I don't find much use to backlit keyboards anymore, it's the screen what you are supposed to be looking, not the board. At the same time they make the board easy to locate in a dark room but sometimes the room is dark because you should be focusing in the details displayed on the screen...
