Did you guys watch the Super Girl?

Couple of issues..

I think Melissa Benoist is too "Old" to play super girl..  she has just a tad too many wrinkles vs the comic book feel..

Not saying she's ugly or anything, just the age seems off.. 

I'm not talking about super girl's age in the comic,  rather her appearance..

Because, for the most part,  the acting still depicts a Younger girl with a sense of naivety.  Yet Melissa Benoist physically looks almost 30,  well beyond the point to behave like that.




Costume.. those weird looking boots look really weird..

I get that cartoon super girl has impossibly leggy-proportions,   but just give her normal stiletto boots, The modern audience can accept it just fine,  but those current weird boots... just look so weird..


Also,  again.. her proportions.. they really needed someone either more buxom OR with a much thinner waist to capture that comic book look..

Um.. it's ok.. the pilot is origin story style, so nothing's fleshed out..

As far as her Acting, we've only seen the pilot,  she plays a standard ditzy young blond at the day job,  and "currently"  a less than confident super hero..

PROPORTIONS..   ratio of her "top" to her "waist"

Comic book beings have exaggerated figures.

To mimic their appearance in live action..  for "females",  one of two ways is possible.

For the males, there's only 1 way.. lose weight and shoulder press.

That's all I'm sayin'..

I completely understand that the comic book is exaggerated..

But that's what the show's going for..  They should've done something about this..

There hasn't been a SuperMAN on screen with a shoulder to waist ratio less than (1.6)

But for the comics females, the bust to waist + waist to hip ratio are the defining features..


The hip to waist ratio is usually already spot on, since most accepted hollywood females sport the standard 1.6-1.7,   so no disparity here.
