Stand. If I sit in very hot weather my thighs get all sweaty and it's a poor experience. If I stand, at least my whole body is getting a equal amount of air circulation.

Considering how much of your body is making contact in most of the cases with non ventilating surfaces while sitting, i would say sitting is hotter.

Hidden benefit of a standing workspace: decreased probability of a sweaty ass.

Standing is hotter, with a little curve here and there.

According to websites,   it seems you burn 100 more calories/hour while standing..  which means 0.12 watts

that might be significant..


But if you're naked.

You have something of  70% more heat dissipation area while standing vs sitting

I have sit or stand desk at work and home. Standing is hotter. If I want to cool down I'll sit for a while, once I've cooled down I'll stand the desk back up.

Its even more awesome in a building with broken AC, but having a good desk fan pointed at me all day helps a lot. I do find while the building temperatures rise during the day I'll sit more to stay cool. Conversely in the winter when my computer room is freezing I'll stand to keep much warmer.
