Amazon prime stuff
« on: Tue, 25 August 2015, 17:16:51 »
Alright, I got a free trial, used two day shipping yada yada.
Bank of america locked my card because of unauthorized purchases, amazon emails me they can't charge me $100 to renew. I never got any notification about it ending or else I would have stopped auto pay, actually, didn't even know they would automatically pay. Is there anyway, I can put a new card on, and buy what I need without being charged?

Even if you do get charged, you can cancel the membership and get a full refund from Amazon(even if the subscription has been active for a week or two)

Amazon specifically tells you they auto renew. Shouldn't sign up for stuff and not read what you're signing up for.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

Yep, make sure you boys set a reminder in your calendar a day or two the free trial expires or they charge you.

Really? Dang lol.
I don't really remember when I clicked free trial, but I don't recall it saying anything aside from welcome to prime or whatever.

it's also possible to cancel early because they still honor the rest of the trial/subscription period. so you can cancel now and not worry about it next year

Yea, for free trials, you can sign up and right after signing up, you should be able to cancel it and it will keep your trial but just wont auto renew.
Same for paid. If you pay for it, you can cancel it and since you've already been charged and paid for 1 year, you just wont be auto renewed.

Of course, this is all as i remember. Could be wrong.

Probably how I typed? Did I type okay? I dunno.  Still too tired to think. Swimming is tiring.
[edit] this applies even more now
