Chinese USB mini keyboard vacuums? Any good?

Hey guys—have any of you tried these?:

This type of vac will have barely any suction..

They sell small brush attachment heads for FULL SIZE vacuums..


That is a much better choice..



But Overall.. People have had more success with "blowers"  although it does make a mess if there's large dust in ur keyboard.

To put things into perspective, even a powerful Datavac doesn't always blow everything out of a board. And from what I've read vacuums aren't as powerful as blowers, so I can't imagine the products in the OP would be terribly effective. Maybe for very light dust.

I use this for drawing. It removes residues on the table left by the erasing rubber, and it works well for that kind of easy job.
There are two levels of intensity to choose from, also there's a tiny light underneath.

We got these at pound shops in the UK for a pound.

So the product itself is the one commonly referred to as a Datavac

Both the ones you listed are also made BY metro Datavac is the product name itself and there are several models and variants.  So they are all datavacs all made by the same exact company just different models.

I use the cheaper one i linked above.

They're more powerful, and you don't have to keep cleaning them. I'll need to take keyboards and stuff outside and wear a mask, but who cares? I also understand that 20+ year-old board chow is great for gardens.  :?)

None of the vacuums I've had are as powerful as my Datavac. Prior to reading about the dangers of static discharges I used them for a while to clean the chassis but found them ineffective. Perhaps with the smaller attachments they'd be better but it's not really something I'm keen on risking.

These mini vacuums are useless in my experience. Nearly anything powered by USB with moving parts isn't that great.

I use a vacuum cleaner with the suction turned down and the correct attachments.

In case anyone's interested, I ended up getting one of these:

EasyGo EGP-COM-011 Electric Compu Cleaner for Electronic Devices




It works just great! It was less expensive than the Datavac, includes several attachments, and weighs about a third as much (having a sturdy plastic enclosure rather than metal). I also prefer the rocker switch over the Davavac's stud switch, which doesn't seem quite as ergonomic.

You can get a used air compressor at sears for the same price as the datavac.

Sometimes they have sales, and you can get a new one for $20 more.

Beats the crap out of the data vac..
