Years ago my car broke down and I had to catch three buses to get to work. I was about two hours late but luckily I was able to make up the time by working a ten-hour shift instead of the usual eight-hour shift. I know some people that sleep through entire shifts, though, I'd call a few times an hour for about two hours then I'd call my boss to see what he wanted to do about it lol. Retail.

There isn't really a "time" for my job. Technically, I think my contract (which isn't a contract) specifies 35 hours of work per week. Not that long ago I was doing 120.

At my very first job, ages ago, first week after I was hired I got there at 12 instead of 8 ) Now sometimes I get one hour late but nobody cares as long as I do my job, love that about my company, they even let me work from home 5 times per month.

my job is pretty good about it though, i get paid time off i can use to cover when i'm not there at any time. it's great.
