CS:GO Thread
« on: Sat, 03 December 2016, 05:22:14 »

CS is love, CS is life.  :-X

And speaking of life, this game has ruined mine over the course of fourteen years. Still, I cannot get enough. I thought it was sad that there was an Overwatch thread, but no CS:GO thread. I dunno if anyone here plays CS:GO, but I usually bang out at least one pug a day. Would be cool to 5 man with a GeekHack squad sometime.

You can find me here: https://play.esea.net/users/1390507

Forgive my RWS... It is lies.  :))

Anyhow, one thing is certain, we need a god-tier CS:GO keycap at some point, though I dunno what it would be.

I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

Are you living under a rock? We literally have Asiimov, Cyrex, Torque, Vulcan and Overwatch keycaps and according to the creator Hyper Beast, Desolate Space and Gods & Monsters will be available soon:

I do live under a rock. Well, a boulder.  :'(

Damn, the Cyrex one would have been perfect for me. These are long gone it seems?

Fak.

I think my most angry gaming moments were in 8th grade,  when Halo PC was still a thing..  i used to get real mad when I got capped in that.

On further reflection, those caps aren't perfect.

There's a radio key where the quickswitch should be, there's an AWP where the AK should be... And there's a karambit where... A default knife should be.  :'(

Round 1 of this keyset had different icons, the knife was the regular vanilla knife. In my opinion the karambit looks much better and the AWP is awesome due to the fact that both sides can buy it. I prefer the CTs and the AK is T only... I read somewhere that the Colt/AK will be added though. CS is a great game, due to my current unstable internet connection I'm not being able to play MM anymore, but hopefully it will be fixed soon.

The bit about the knife was supposed to be a joke... 'cause karambits are expensive. It makes sense it being there because they're considered the top tier next to the m9s... I personally like the butterfly knives best. Interested to see where those builds go. I think the M4/AK would be a great choice over the AWP, but I could see that getting crowded. To each their own, to each their own...

That sucks about your internet connection, Purp. If I couldn't play CS, I'd lose my mind.

Posting a video of our lord and savior almighty Gabe wasn't necesseary at all, I'm getting sentimental right here. Every time I get a ping spike I think about Gabe. Gabe wouldn't let it be, I have dreams about Gabe Newell personally making sure I have a stable connection. I love GabeN.

Issue with CSGO for me is I'm only getting 300-400 fps vs the 500-570 fps on the newest 6700k platforms..

Thinking about upgrading to the new 7xxx series..   it'll probably do 600+ fps..

Which is going to be really awesome with Nvidia's new fastsync..

Nice little clutch from JDM during today's Major. Liquid went on to lose in triple OT, but this was pretty slick none-the-less.

Pretty sweet weekend of CS:GO IMO.

Wasn't a surprise that Astralis beat Faze, but they didn't go down without a fight. Glad to see a Bo5 for once.

Oh, and Dupree's deagle ace
