Outemu Reds vs. Cherry MX Reds

I am currently waiting on a keyboard from eBay that costed $35.00.  It has a 75% layout, or a tenkeyless that is made to be one unit longer and one unit taller than a 60% layout.  The keyboard has Outemu Red switches, a knockoff of the well known and well hated cherry MX reds. I am asking if anyone that has these switches and how smooth they are compared to the "premium" switches that are the MX.

The copy reds should be smoother, I've heard they've all made the stems slightly smaller.

New guy question: why were/are the mx reds hated?

I think they are disliked because some people find them too easy to actuate. I wonder how they would react to Gateron Clears hahaha.

They felt pretty much the same as MX Reds but somewhat heavier; Somewhere between MX Reds and MX Blacks weight. They weren't any smoother or less smooth than the MX Reds I've tried. It's worth noting that newer MX Reds (and all new MX switches it seems) are using new molds or something that are significantly smoother than the old ones.

New guy question: why were/are the mx reds hated?

 I don't know where OP got this but MX Reds aren't really disliked or liked more than any other Cherry from what I've seen. Some people just find them a bit too light I guess.

Must have been a long while ago for people to have ever coveted reds, they're essentially a meme propelled forward by the "le epic gamer" community as the supposed "best switch for gaming".

Well used reds that have lost their scratchiness are as nice as any other linear I suppose, but new ones aren't exactly a pleasure to type on.

As far as Outemu reds go, I couldn't say as I've only ever had some sampler switches not a full board. But they were only a bit less scratchy in comparison to cherry from what i could tell.
