Dope af, big ups to Roger Wilco.
I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

The caps are cool, but the board itself? OP asked for an opinion on what to do. Why not get you some switches.

Unusual Alps caps are very hard to find. Too bad that there is not a set there, but there is a lot to work with if you wanted to experiment.

I also have 5 year old girls, so I might just keep it as is.  Just needs an adapter from the giant old style keyboard plug.

What do you mean by "there isnt a full set"?   I think it has everything.  I just took those too off to show its mechanical.

I have this exact board and also got it at a thrift store. I used the alphas on other boards every now and then.

I was referring to the board going into the garbage and using the keys somewhere else.  I doubt that there is a proper complete fit anywhere.

Amazing? Imaginative and technically impressive, but also pointless. It's like the Star Trek episode "The Enemy Within" dragged out and confounded. So much more could have been made of their creative and technical skills.

Yep! One of my favorites.

For those who are not familiar with my avatar here are a couple funny clips:

So what are the caps *like*?

ABS and pad-printed, probably, but curious. Personally, I think if you got it for basically nothing (which is what I bet a keyboard that looks like that at a thrift store) you have some cool caps you probably *can* use, depending on the style. I am not sure I'd make one with the full set, but depending on what they were paired with, yellow modifiers and the blue BAE would look pretty sweet.

Basically, I'd ditch the alphas and numbers (including the numpad numbers), and the escape and spacebar. Fill that in with a crisp white keyset, especially one with blue legends (and maybe an idiosyncratic escape), you'd wind up with a pretty sweet set of caps on whatever board.

Hell, if they are pad-printed, you can probably find a mild solvent to take off the legends from the particularly ugly. And in any regard, you ALPS switches for parts.

Alps caps are a standard ?

I wonder if you can provide me some keyboard reference because I dream about another keyboard with theses keycaps…

:)) Yes, yes it is...

Pad or dye? Also, are they blue or purple. They look purple on Ebay listings.

The absolute madness is kind of taking hold. Kind of want them and want to put them on an AT101 or something.
