Less meat, M0ar Keyboards. !!!
« on: Fri, 11 August 2017, 11:36:46 »
The critical driver behind meat and greasy consumption is Pleasure.

Arguments built on environmentalism and animal welfare flat out don't work

---- we exploit human beings every day, animal welfare will never be accepted at large as a pressing issue

---- the environment is important, but elon's got that covered, so we're good to go..

So what's the next logical solution,  Secs-addiction ? Drugs ? Alcohol ?

Re-framing the problem in terms of cost,    even insured, out of pocket cost for heart troubles (1 out of 3 americans) comes out to ~$500-1000 a month.

The average age, when heart problems get bad is age 57, (symptoms start much earlier, but this is when you start life as half a person, due to debilitation).

If you start 100% veggie 10% fat TODAY,   we can guarantee you age 80 male average, 80+ female.. (completely Free of heart disease)

80 minus 57 = 23 years..

Imagine saving $750 a month for 23 years..

You can buy 2x KMACs  EVERY damn MONTH   for 23 years..

Yes,  that's 552 KMACS.. !!

THAT is the power of 100% Veggie, 10% Fats..

Don't let the Pharmaceutical Bandits rob us of our precious keyboards..

Start Veggies today..

Hahahaha..   mindfulness  for the win..   Always be mindful,  and then one day,  something snaps,  and you realize you'd rather have 552 Kmacs instead of heart disease.

I know chyros is saying that tongue in cheek,    but jesus, visit some of these guys in the hospital.. it's epic awful,   and because of how awful it is,   they're stressed out,   which only contributes to the consumption problem that brought them there in the first place.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

They actually serve steak at some hospitals.

This is a critical issue in the medicine world right now..

Heart disease and the related care is 70%+  of many hospitals' income..

Think about that..  there is a major conflict of interest in the way our medical system is rewarding the industry.

Maybe Joe Schmo doesn't know that meat causes heart disease..  BUT the DOCTORS know, the Researchers know,  the meat FARMERS know..

There is a deliberate attempt to muddle nutritional information among the public in order to retain a steady supply of patients and income..

It's the same as the smoking industry sponsoring their fake studies and marketing to children..

Phillipe Morris OWNS Krafts foods btw..  i mean.. jesusss..

tp4 you speak the truth.  After cutting out much meat/cheese products from my diet I am losing .25 - 1lbs per day.

I'm not calling myself Vegan though; but more like following a diet in the China Study which is keeping my Animal sourced products less than 5% consumption per day.

Also I am eliminating as much oil as possible.

I might not have to ask someone to sign a waiver every time I want to have sex in the future!  This is exciting!

Good stuff..

You have every reason to be excited !

Tp4 am happy that we gekhakrs can take this journey together..

To clarify some things.

The China study perspective does not recommend ANY meat consumption whatsoever.

The 5% vs 20% animal proteins trial with mice is a demonstration that what normal modern affluent nations eat, even at visually modest quantities, greatly contributed to cancer growth.

That is to say, yea there is a level of arsenic that won't kill you,  but it's still arsenic.. !!

The animal protein also causes continuous low grade inflammation + the fats raising insulin resistance, etc ,etc, DEATH>...... hahahahahahaa

That said, if you feel that you possess the fortitude to adhere to 5% calories from animal protein....

---- Given what's been tested thus far....  The numbers are on your side..

-------- but keep in mind,  that 5% would be 25 grams of animal protein, which is ~81 grams of chicken breast.

--------  4x chicken nuggets weigh ~ 70 grams..

Of course we shouldn't be eating chicken nuggets either, because of the added fats, and mystery-meat aspect.

I myself take the easy way of not eating any animals,  but if you want to do some math with the small numbers  and get in 2-2.5 chicken nugget a day..

It's really the Doorway of emotions and habits which may be opened by that chicken nugget  which could do harm,     Rather than the nugget itself , assuming the quantity eaten per day is actually 2- 2.5 nuggets.

---  it's like you do a small bump of crack cocaine..  then casually swear it off for the rest of the evening..

---  but of course,  the actual limiter is when you've run out of cocaine..  hahahahaha

---  most people can at least run out of cocaine or money to buy cocaine, so that's a good thing,

---------  no one in America ever truly runs out of chicken nuggets..

Since I started weight lifting, my diet has become basically 60% dairy, 25% meat, and 15% nuts and grain to get enough protein.

AT LEAST four cups of milk per day in addition to two to four ounces of cheese and five to ten ounces of yogurt. It's essentially laziness because dairy doesn't require thawing and cooking like meat (most meat I eat is already cooked sandwich meat), and I can only eat so many canned beans for protein. I also eat a lot of eggs.

I like vegetables quite a bit, but I don't like cooking them or trying to use them before they spoil.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

You HAVE heart disease,  it's not killing you yet, but you've got it..  --Most americans today as young as age 12 have heart disease--,   You do, I do, Everyone does..

Now, Milk is highly carcinogenic, you're probably young, and have this perceptual invincibility cloak..      but cancer is rapidly dividing inside your body right now due to the growth hormones and casein protein composition.

Also, milk gives you manbewbs.. hahahahahahha

But this is home cooked milk, not fast food milk.

There's no difference, it's the same industry supplying the majority of the milk

Milk for mammals is designed as a rapid-growth fluid.

You want to make the smallest most vulnerable animal grow as quickly as possible once he comes out.

Weening however MUST occur eventually.

Nature has designed this system over the course of millions of years.

Humans figured out how to never get weened..   Certainly under the belief that it's the best food..

But we know today,  that It's the best food for only a SHORT period of a person's early life and that's it.

Milk is loaded with Natural growth hormones, ontop of whatever steroids the farmers add..

The combination of which is responsible for the majority of western cancers.

Heart disease is narrowing or blocking of arteries, usually caused by LDL cholestrol. Cardiovascular exercise and unsaturated fats (fish and nuts) supposedly help counteract it by reducing blood serum cholesterol and keeping arterial walls squeaky clean and smooth, so I suppose I should focus on those (I was running a lot earlier this year but not much recently). I was eating quite a bit of tuna, but then I got concerned about the mercury. But I've heard there's debate on whether saturated fat causes heart disease, not sure why though. Some risk is from genetics. For example, I dieted and lost 75 pounds in 2016 and improved my blood pressure and all my blood work across the board (I just reduced calories but didn't focus on eating any particular food). An already skinny co-worker of mine changed his diet from bullcrap to chicken, salmon, rice, broccoli, etc in the same time frame, and his blood cholesterol either stayed the same or got worse (I can't remember which). He was shocked.

Part of the goal of weight lifting is to get manbewbs, just made of muscle and not fat.  :thumb: But my gut is slowly making a return.  :-[

In regard to cancer, I think not smoking, drinking, sunbathing, or getting fat again will reduce my chances more than abstaining from milk (according to the article I just read, high fat milk is higher in estrogen, which is supposedly the cause of the increased cancer risk. I drink 1%, so I just reduced my cancer risk by 2%, hahaha).

ssssss.....  i agree with that,  the growth hormones in milk should accelerate muscle growth.

But you really need to take a step back before you decide,  to put up with the cancer/ heart disease risk..

because you can still body build without milk, even if its a bit slower

---- but you can't quite get rid of large colonies of cancer cells..   that' is NOT a fun trade..

70% of heart disease patients have blood cholesterol levels between 140-199 which is considered the -NORM..

But that would only mean the NORM is set too damn high,  because 1 out of 3 people HAVE heart disease,  and 1 out of 4 people Die of it.

They've got the research,  you need cholesterol BELOW 150 to be heart-attack proof..

When a high level triathlon runner keel-ed over from a heart attack,  they took a look at his arteries,  CLOGGGED..

This is a common misconception that if you exercise you will BURN the fat away.

If a triathlon runner , with such high intensity energy burning couldn't do anything about fat clogged arteries,  it's clearly not possible to be _squeaky clean_ with only modest weight lifting.

Fat burning from exercise is true of stomach fat, and some visceral fat..   HOWEVER this is wrong when it comes to arteriosclerosis.

High quantity of consumed fats flowing through your blood WILL CLOG, and your body can not use that for energy by burning it..

Cardiovascular exercise (i.e. running, cycling, aerobic), not weight lifting (anaerobic). Arteries are clogged by cholesterol, not fat. Cholesterol is thought to increase from consumption of saturated fat, but it's not that the fat itself it deposited in the arterial walls. Reducing saturated fat consumption is definitely helpful, but so is cardiovascular exercise and reducing overall body fat because it reduces blood pressure. Long term high blood pressure damages the arterial walls and makes them more susceptible to a bad diet. Cardiovascular exercise decreases resting heart rate and blood viscosity, thereby reducing blood pressure.

Not sure about the triathelete issue you're referring to, but this may be related: (https://www.outsideonline.com/1926956/are-triathletes-really-dying-heart-attacks). Is so, that might be a different issue.

Anyway, I am not disagreeing with you. I just think you're discounting other factors. Most people are fat, don't exercise, *and* have a bad diet (and some smoke and drink too).

My diet over the last six months is probably not ideal. I've tracked my food intake every day for almost two years now, but it's getting tedious at this point, which is making me lazier in my choices.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

There is no such thing as a heart healthy oil.

All oil in excess of 10% of total calories has deleterious effects on artery health.

There are several methods of action responsible for this.

Consumption of excess fat increases the body's innate production of cholesterol.

All oils,  will reduce post meal artery function because they impair endothelial function.  It does this by making your blood and blood vessel walls STICKY.

All oils include unsaturated fats.

--- The endothelium is a layer of the blood vessel walls which generates nitric oxide as lubricant for our blood flow.

------ This layer is also responsible for the dilation of blood vessels.

-----  The nitric oxide prevents you from getting hypertension.

---------- It also stops the development of blockages and plaque.

Eating oils straight up impairs this layer's ability to do its job, from anywhere between 2 hours (olive oils, processed oils) to 6 hours (meat and cheese)

Nothing in modern medicine had been able to cure or reverse heart disease. Statins lowers cholesterol slightly , but that only slows the progression of heart disease, but heart disease is still inevitable.

However when they put Terminal Heart patients, that were told to go home and to buy a rocking chair on a STRICT 10% calories from fat diet,  along with 100% veggies,   these patients lived an extra 10 - 20 years.

Many were suppose to die within the year..

The critical driver behind meat and greasy consumption is Pleasure... Arguments built on environmentalism and animal welfare flat out don't work---we exploit human beings every day, animal welfare will never be accepted at large as a pressing issue.

Yes, people exploit each other—but we don't, to my knowledge, consume each other as food. There must be a difference.

I'm not in a position to go out and be an animal-rights activist. I agree with you, too, that it's hard for most people to take animal rights seriously, as most of them consider meat-eating "normal" and figure there are so many other issues that should take priority.

However, we must all do what we think is right. Thus I'm kind to and appreciate animals of all kinds, don't eat flesh foods, and demonstrate my beliefs by example.

Now and then someone is curious about my choice and asks me about it, and I explain my feelings about kindness, health, the environmental costs of mass-produced food animals, and my suspicion that when people choose to be carnivores, it makes them unnecessarily aggressive and may affect how they regard living things in general. I always top short of proselytizing, though—because human nature being how it is, that's usually counterproductive.

And every now and then, someone hears what I say and it makes sense to them, and a change happens. But people have to be ready to hear these things, to reconsider what they're putting in their mouths, and to become bigger, wiser people who think about the whole world, not just themselves.

The environment is important, but elon's got that covered, so we're good to go...

The cost of a pizza is more than just the material,  it's also the time spent making it.

Since it requires the LIFE FORCE of a person SOMEWHERE at SOME POINT..

We are Indeed eating each other.. just not directly..

When a parents put in their efforts to raise a child,  that child is eating the parent, that's just how it works.

Rights may always be a matter of segregation..  Humans have rights because humans said so,  Animals have rights ONLY when humans say so..

And when the Aliens come to cut us up and harvest our brains for their bio Computers,   Humans have rights when the ALIENS say so..

That's the real relationship between Us and Them.
