Movie Brightness
« on: Sat, 02 May 2020, 09:28:50 »
How dark or bright do y'all keep it ?

Tp4 runs 5-nits room (as bright as ~ 8-9 candles),  60 nit-peak white on screen.

Most monitors are ~250-300nits peak, so usually the lowest desktop monitor setting is ~60+ nits,  laptops go down to 20-30nits.

i'm usually on the computer with just a basic desk light. it's not that ideal, i think ideally i'd have a dim, but more even strip of lighting illuminating my workspace. string lights are kinda fun, i might get some in the near future.

I tried the white strips a while back, it was too cold blue. Thinking about getting RGB strips that get closer to a neutral color temp.

How do you even track that ****? How many mits and landles and cumens

... I have a light in the ceiling that I turn off sometimes. I prefer natural sunlight but my room's built into a cave that gets no sun ever.
