KAP Terrazzo takes inspiration from the Italian tiles made from granite and stone set in concrete and then polished.

Using KeyReatives new speckled plastics to truly embody Terrazzo on your keyboard.

This is still cherry profile.

Please note these renders are not indicative of the final result, many samples are being created with KeyReative to find the best result for the speckles, which will be shared once available

The color specs need to be bigger, like flakes if possible to really match the theme IMO. Looks like a sprinkled cupcake as is to me. I do really like the ideal though, so I'll be following this to see where it goes.

There is a size limitation on the specs, I'm working with GMK to find out what those boundaries are.

However, I agree with others here, there is something about the use of speckled plastic on the alphas that doesn't completely convince me.

I was thinking... why not make some alphas white (without specks) and others with the colors of the grits (with a "random" arrangement)? In this way you could have a kind of marble effect.

Interesting approach! Personally not how I would have gone about it, I would have chosen a more Mictlan-style approach to it, but I hope this does well! Definitely will be a fun novelty set I reckon.

The speckles fit the theme but they're a little jarring to the eyes, for me at least. A bit too much.

Considering that inspiration it actually looks pretty nice. Just not a big fan of the specks on this set. An alt alphas kit would be pretty good to see.

Also I think it would look better with the numpad legends. I am not sure why everyone stopped having them they look better, and actually show what num lock does to each key.

The colors combination of mods and alphas is nice but the speckles need to be pretty big for this to work imo and I doubt it's possible at the moment.

Might better just offer a non-glitter version.

Agreed that the speckles are too small, could you try no speckles and do "random" legend colors using the accent colors like in Mictlan?

Everyone is talking about the speckles, but I think the mods on their own are too motley. I think the speckles, however big or small, would work better with a more subdued/understated color combo on the mods (while still staying relevant to the set's theme). Perhaps try reducing the number of colors used for mod keys, or try coloring them in groups.

Edit: The kitting looks great, by the way.

Hey,

As said on Reddit, I'd rather have these alpha's (text/legends) in the orange or light brown instead of the teal, but otherwise great.
Or a version without the speckles nut a random colour for the text (out of those 3; teal/orange/light brown) across all alphas, replicating basically what the speckles are doing... that would make it totally inline with Terrazzo tiles.

For me the specks are my favorite part! I love the stone/granite texture it gives the whole thing!

I should probably create another post to talk about this in more depth, but I hope you’ll forgive me Beesley for hijacking your post to respond to some of these questions! I’m the designer of Keyreative’s new doubleshot legends, which we’re calling KAP Legend System (or just ‘KAP’ for short). The name doesn’t have any special meaning (other than ahem coincidentally being the first three letters of my handle), but it fits nicely alongside the other Keyreative profiles of KAM and KAT. Aside from the legends themselves, the keys are a standard sculptured cylindrical profile, i.e. Cherry.

So yes; basically this. However, KAP also supports dyesub for the first shot (just like doubleshot KAM and KAT), so you can create more complex designs with multiple legend colours whilst still using a distinct second colour of ABS for the second shot.
