Did some'o dat googlo on Ozempic. Some findings.
Regular weightloss, is more/less around 25% lean muscle, 75% fats.
On GLP-1, it's something around 40% lean muscle loss and 60% fats. Quite a difference. What you see often mentioned "Ozempic Face" what that is is actually loss of facial fat tissue, but also quite alot of facial muscles which is ultimately what's responsible for that haggard/sickly/hollow appearance.
So, if some users, who do on and off cycles either for financial or other reasons, they can end up with significantly lower lean muscle, loss of bodily definition.
A practical example of where this may be relevant is for women who wish to preserve an attractive posterior, where it only looks good if there is a large muscle mass underneath the fat for definition and lift. The result of GLP1 intervention may be a flat droopy loaf vs more puff.

Approximately 50% of people starting GLP-1, quit within 2 months, because of side effects, pain, vomiting, nausea, etc.
80% stop the drug within 6 months, diarrhea vomiting etc..
The people who can withstand " it ", They get a weight-loss plateau around 1 year. From there, most Obese patients are "still obese" but "smaller", for which they have to maintain GLP1 injections conceivably for the rest of their life, just to " Stay there ". But because " smaller " can be correlated with some positive medical outcome, technically, "it's working."
It just doesn't work very well " for most people. "
Most studies conclude that the plateau is at 1 year. The raw numbers is on average, people will eat 1000 calories less per day, but this is in people who are eating 3000-6000 calories a day, so, Yea, 1000 is a big deal, you do see some big initial weightloss, but they're still eating 2000-5000 after, so, it's not a Miracle miracle.
After 1 year, the appetite comes back to a degree, and the patients only maintain a 420 reduced calories per day. If they stop the medication all together, appetite will fully revert, and they will pretty much lose all their "gains". Kind of like handcuffs situation, in a way.
So, how do we quantify "Success", approx, 1 in 25 people achieve a normal weight with the help of GLP1, vs 1 in 100 through other means/treatments, diet, psychotherapy.
Yea, it works, but we have good numbers now to describe how well. Is that worth the $, it's a quick fix diet pill situation. It's quite a bit better than diet pills.
Tp4 placing Novo Nordisk (NVO) under, a Trade in the short-term. Risky to Long.
