the tent seems a little too flimsy for a semi-permanent installation like what you're suggesting. I feel like something like an awning or open air shed would do better for durability? for a big tent, my concern would be it collapsing randomly or getting hit with gusts of wind. tent lifespans are usually meant to last like 50-150 days out so you might be asking too much of it.

Tents have lifespans that short?

Do homeless people just keep getting new tents all the time?

Kinda makes sense, Tp4's grill cover, every 1.5 years, pretty much gotta get a new one.

It's the UV that really chews them up.
Shade is better for that but then you get mildew problems ....
"The company [Taylor Farms] made two (2) million-dollar donations: $1 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund, which supports Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, and $1 million for MAGA Inc, a super PAC that supports Trump.
The $1 million to MAGA Inc was made on March 25, 2025, just just six days after the FDA announced it was delaying the implementation of its “Food Traceability Rule” by 30 months."

yeah outdoors conditions can be rough and random. homeless folks often use tarps on top of tents to cover holes and such. why not go simpler maybe? big outdoor umbrella, easy to set up and take down.

Pc screens aren't even as bright as phones. Can't see much without walls.
