Do we neeeed skeetrbites?
« on: Thu, 20 August 2026, 08:16:53 »
An animal in nature couldn't possible avoid MOST skeeterbites.

Humans also don't run very fast, and they must live near water where skeeters would amass.

Therefore, if natural conditions prevailed, humans would get 10s-to-100s of THOUSANDS of bites per year in hunter-gather tribes.

Even if you were counting whatever "kooties" is in skeeterbites in the nanoliter,  It adds up to a non-trivial dose.

DOES that exposure and its subsequent triggering of immuno-HAPPENSTANCE,  in the human body,  contribute in some way to REQUIRED natural functions.    Much in the same way as "Sunlight" on the skin.

Hrrrm...  !!!

Mosquitoes and cockroaches are 2 species that I would not shed a tear over if they went extinct.

Those species form the critical living fabric of nature. Male mosquitoes pull their weight in pollination.

Roaches are decomposers, recycling nutrient back into the soil.

Point is, human intellect is very narrow in scope, and we do not have the multidisciplinary integration to know how it all works.

The belief that happiness is, let's put an animal in a box with unlimited food and water, airconditioning, video games, sound systems, home theaters.    AND, you end up with useless amorphous blobs like TP4.

The mosquito may be but 1 of 10000 missing ingredients for a good healthy life.
