"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

under a crust of filth i discovered caps that are slightly shiny. some dark spots on the wristwrest and a barely visible scratch under the esc key. unfortunately i broke one of the feet while cleaning the board. i still have the little piece that broke off and might try to glue it back on.

Awesome!  Vintage firearms are awesome even though I know very little about them.  Are they in firing condition?  Also what country are they from?

Hopefully the silly UK didn't make you render those new firearms inert as well.  It's hard to have anything that works outside of a shotgun in the UK from my understanding.

These are classified as antiques and are therefore left as they are, working condition I believe, I only had time to snap a few photos but I will check out their condition later, moving trigger and firing ping on every weapon so thats good :)

also thanks to user BroCaps for the recommendation for the datavac! I was convinced it sucked, but it literally blows!  :))

Keeping the novatouch, or stealing the stems?

keeping! i dont have a TKL so its nice, im going to probly end up swapping the stems and throwing on a black on black realforce set. Waaaay to expensive of a board, it doesnt possess the topre feels compared to (HHKB,realforce,Fc660c) but the build quality is nice.

Woo, let us know how you like the Novatouch.  And that Datavac... I should probably get one.  I'm tired of editing out dust and cat hair from my photos!

its a beast! it came turned on and blew everything off desk. Its more of a leaf blower than canned air, $60 aint bad either
don't come to my funeral, there wont be one

Well what's stopping someone from sending you one ;)

Of course the whole power plug being different might be an issue  :'(

This should work right?

I just got one from black friday and it is really useful. There isn't a way you can just have someone (Cody maybe?) forward you one in the mail? Or is it because the voltages don't match?

If you swap the stems, I would like to be first in line to buy those nova stems if you are willing to part with them. :)

yeah its the whole issue of having to get someone to buy it, the silly international shipping for it, then buying a step down thing for it etc etc etc

i have looked a lot though and i cant find a decent alternative sold here in the uk, and i have 3 damn cats that love my desk, or basically any time i put a keyboard down, this happens

I think the issue would be 120V versus 220V not just the physical plug, but I think this would work maybe?

Converters should handle that too, actually.

I'm not an electrical engineer so I wouldn't know, though.
