Yay! You got it! I am glad I was there for the moment when you bought it :)) Too bad my 660C won't get here until Tuesday... MFW you pay high shipping rates to Elitekeyboards and they don't even do fast OR on-time shipping :(

Yeah my fedex package from them was supposed to be delivered today now it's been pushed to monday.

I say premium because $8 to ship this is a bit too much considering first class to Canada is only $1.30.  Square paper letters, $0.05?

This isn't a commie site, is it?

I just found out something interesting on the USPS online calculator. I am always charged $6.55 just for the postage to ship 2 ounces to Canada from the US, which lines up with the first calculation. But I figured out how to make the calculator show your $1.30, which is quite frankly wrong because I'm charged much more for even a 0.3 ounce package within the US. The incorrect $1.30 calculation clearly states that packages have to be under 1/4" thick, and the tools are thicker than that. This makes me kinda mad actually, why does it cost more than 5x the amount to ship the same weight if it goes a hair over 1/4"?

Because, it's a "parcel" and it has to be sorted by hand in order to process the address being in awkward places, It can't be sorted automatically by machines, they'd just crush it.

when I received mine the post office notified me that the tools cut open the envelope when going through a sorting machine.  The PO employees had to assemble everything, but they said it could have been easily lost in the sorting facility.

paper envelopes are good for some things.

Apparently they didn't get that memo...

The size regulation over here is because if it wont fit through the letter box so the postie has to mess around knocking/leaving it with a neighbor etc.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

I was a bit shocked to receive mine in a small letter envelope with a piece of thin cardboard wrapped around the tools, considering the $4 we paid for shipping, which I even brought up in the original GB thread (and people defended the price talking about shipping supplies and time).  But what can we do--when there's no competition, some "service providers" can do whatever they want.

Next time find a laser cutter and have them cut you a single pair. I'm sure it would cost you more than what I charged.

unfortunately the objects are still rigid, and when put through a sorting machine they can still damage a paper envelope if they are wrapped in a non-padded material.

They were shipped parcel because of the thickness. They should have been through NO sorting machines.

An empty envelope. I was supposed to receive those tools from The_Beast, but local customs or mail service did this "magic".

That's what you get for living in the middle of the fuc*ing jungle served by huehue employees.

That's also the problem of sending them in a paper envelope instead of a small bubble mailer.

That's also the problem with charging premium on shipping but using the cheapest materials available.

Hey dude, YOU SUGGESTED ENVELOPES!!!

Can you ship these in letter envelope?

I not mad at you the least bit

if you thought $4 was too much for shipping, then don't participle in the buy and complain about it later after the fact. That **** is weak.

I wish I had that option.  I am about to start on a Lepa 1600 platinum and Silverstone 1500.  The Lepa shouldn't be too bad (other than it having 10 - 8-pin pci cables), but the Silverstone has a ton of double wires, and I will be converting all of the 6+8 pci cables to 8+8.  Going heatshrinkless as well.  Gonna be intense.
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

2x Aluminum Realforce cases (one for me, one for AkimBRO)

Packing was very nicely done. No dings anywhere on the cases. Fixes some things that always bothered me about RF boards: No USB hub, no detachable cable and getting rid of that ugly logo sticker
Now I just need to get myself another RF to use it with.... -_-

$700 for 2 cases. Would have been 450 individually, but the seller gave us a deal if we bought 2. Still really stupidly expensive. But that's your only option for a custom RF case right now.
I hope this community starts making cheaper custom RF case options.

Shipping was free, and pretty fast from Korea.

For what it is I don't think $450 shipped is a bad price at all..

I've got a realforce coming from the DT euro-tour. If I actually like topre then making a realforce case will be at the top of my to-do list. I don't think it'll be under $450 though :p

You might want to get it clear anodized. Aluminum can tarnish somewhat without a coating on it

That's a very nice case!  I wonder if it makes a difference to the Topre thocking?

Red and blue BS Clacks

Nice get :)  I could do with a couple of those so I can tell my two Model M apart.  Besides the different logos.  And different missing keycaps.  And different cables.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Got a Hack Orange Skull and Zoo cap from zoolzoo today.  I see why there aren't many Hack Orange clack pictures, it's not really the easiest color to accurately capture.  I wish I had an IPS monitor so I could really show what it looks like.  Also, I stupidly thought it was MX when it explicitly said Topre.  So I can't use it, but I can sit and admire it.

I also noticed that the HO has a different feel to it than the Octopink 420 I have.  It feels a little lighter and like it has a slightly different material.

33015-0
33017-1
33019-2
33021-3
Kind of thin double-shots, some interesting legends, MX Clears and a Grey on the space bar.  Not too bad for $35.

33023-4
33025-5
33027-6
33029-7
My first actual Dolch, hardly shows any signs of use.  Pac 64.  Not real impressed by the MX Blues, but the keycaps are choice.

There's one on ebay right now for 40$. Jealous of both boards :(

Is the blue part on the black keys doubleshot as well btw.?
