It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Got some Gaterade to test the other day~

Thankies, Hwood <3

The linear switch wasn't as smooth as my Vintage Black Cherry MX switch, and you could still hear friction on the press down. However, for a brand new switch it was much smoother than a stock MX Black switch, which is impressive.

I also like how tight the top switch housing is~ Might have to get some in the future for just for the top switch housing~

Yeah, most definitely still prefer my vintage blacks. However, I wouldn't mind throwing my vintage black switches into the Gaterade switch housing, or at least using the Gaterade top case of switch housing because it fits more snug on the bottom part of the switch housing. Linear switches could benefit greatly with a more tightly close switch because that switch is all about feeling nothing but bottoming out. Not so much an issue for tactile switches, IMO.

I'd take brand new Gaterade linear over brand new Cherry MX Black.

Sure can!

In the mail two days ago I got my first KWKs, but I've had a headache on and off for the last couple of days and couldn't post the pictures.

I need better light too, the yellow one looks more green in most of the pics I took.  Although summer, it is starting to get dark by the time I get home.  Maybe on the weekend ...

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Absolutely stunning caps!!! They look great. I can't wait to get mine from nubbs! I'll be joining this club soon!!!

Still trying to decide where to put them on my Model M!

Here is a better pic from once I got home.

Cool. I was wondering how they would look on a keyboard. This is the cap sold on Ctrlalt.io, isn't it?

Picked up a pair of these babies from Massdrop. Just had the idea that maybe they are modable so they can be used more than just as a switch tester...?

Yep, check this out: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=67338.0

Yeah, most definitely still prefer my vintage blacks. However, I wouldn't mind throwing my vintage black switches into the Gaterade switch housing, or at least using the Gaterade top case of switch housing because it fits more snug on the bottom part of the switch housing.

That's a damn good idea. I'm going to make that swap and try it out :).

Got an HP Stream 7 today. It's finally on sale here in The Netherlands and I still needed a birthday present for myself. :D

It's a cool little tablet. Not as fast as my Nokia Lumia 1520 phone but then again that on was 4 times as expensive and a completely different beast.
Should be fun as a family tablet for the living room and for travel with an OTG cable. :)
