DAS got new keyboard?
« on: Wed, 29 August 2012, 10:13:59 »
Just saw on NCIX that DAS keyboards are now called " Click Pressure Point Mechanical Keyboard " and "Soft Pressure Point Mechanical Keyboard ".

I amd just wondering that is this just a new name or it's a new model?

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks

It's just a way of describing it. They're still using Cherry blues and browns.

Thanks.

But, in NCIX, "Professional Model S Click Pressure Point Mechanical Keyboard" is not in stock while this one "Professional Model S Mechanical Keyboard" is on sale. Makes me wonder what's the difference between them.

BTW, the sale price for "Professional Model S Mechanical Keyboard " is 79.99CAD, pretty nice price. Too bad it's a blue switch, I can't use it in office.  :'(

Yeah, I don't know where they get their product designations from.
As far as I can see, on the official DAS website the descriptions haven't changed (daskeyboard.com)

http://www.daskeyboard.com/products/

Perhaps it's the first one in the second row ("Professional - Media - Soft").

Should be pretty easy to figure out which is which: DAS offers, aside from the Mac-keyboard, only 4 models.
They offer keyboards with blue switches or brown switches, each come in a labeled and in an unlabeled version.

If you're not sure what they mean by "Click Pressure Point", just check the switch type, that way there's no confusion.

Do the 'new' ones on ncix have media keys? Perhaps they are just deciding to only carry one version of Das and are phasing out the older version and using some different wording in some attempt to distinguish them apart?

There's a difference between Product distinction and making **** up.
