about 2 weeks ago i got a cm storm rapid with browns on the recommendation of the other folks here
all i can say is wow
now since then i have purchased a dell at101w for work which is nice and im now looking for something else
not that i need a keyboard all my computers now have mechanical setups
even my 13yr old daughter took my ibm model m (her friends ask whats that noise when shes on skype she tells them its the sound of awesome)
so i really want to stay 10 keyless and i will prob want to stick with the browns cause they are  really nice for gaming and typing
back lighting isn't my thing and im too poor to afford a topre set up
so whats the next logical progression?
Leopold? filco?
please help me frivolously spend my $$

For Filco in the US, Amazon will be your best bet. I'm more with tp4tissue on this though. The only reason why I dropped the dough for a Filco is because it was Multicam, Full-Size, with brown keys.

If I didn't have a multicam fetish, I would have been happy with the QFR and spent the money saved on some nice keycaps.

'was' being the keyword for me. I no longer own a Filco. My experience was still amazing!
I was lucky enough to try many a mech keyboard at the last keyboard meet and the Filco certainly performed.

I don't think I could justify paying 110% more for a Filco when the specs are so similar to the CM.

The next step up for me would be a Truly Ergonomic or the upcoming Tactile Pro 4. I'd consider getting the latter even though I promised myself to stick with compact/TKL for future purchases (that's assuming the new Matias switches are that good). I would also probably have a Unicomp Spacesaver by now if it were still TKL (the moniker seems pointless with the tenkey on it).

Many Cherry-brand keyboards will save on space, being closer in width to TKL (but have the tenkeys). The compact Deck Ice has also gotten good reviews, but it uses black linear switches.

If you really want to go in the direction of a Filco Majestouch, consider saving some money and getting the Leopold instead.

FWIW, I still love typing on my AT-101W.

I have a Filco MJ2, and two Quickfire Rapids. Yes, the QF's are comparable. But the Filco still feels much more solid. Maybe it is confirmation bias, but I still think the Filcos are a bit higher quality.

However, I'm probably going to get rid of them since they're just collecting dust now (pretty much addicted to the Realforces)

Pretty much this (although I don't have the realforce bug).  The filco is a bit heavier, I also prefer the finish, plastic cover and the attached cord (I like detached but it's sometimes annoying to get in). I wouldn't have got it if I could have got a cm storm quick fire rapid with browns though. At double the price for some side printed caps, it isn't worth it.

Mine creaks a little under torsion. It's 11 months old now, so maybe they've updated the design since I got it.

Still, I recommend it. WASD looks like one of costar's reference designs, and it looks good. It's a solid keyboard. WASD is also a great person (company) to deal with.

That said, you might want to wait for the WASD version 2 to come out later this year (Hopefully). It should also be good.
