Unfortunately too much of this stuff does not fit into my paleo diet.  :(  It is only just sinking in that I gave up alcohol, bread and coffee for this ****.  WHAT???  That was the majority of my diet.  lol

Now I just have to eat bacon every meal.  Guess its not all bad...

It's not that I need it, I am under 200lb (barely). I am doing it with my wife because she is gluten intolerant and she has been feeling much better getting rid of all grains (rice, corn, etc).  She has also been struggling with sleeping since the baby and this is one of the things which helps.

So basically I am doing it to be supportive and to give it a shot to see if it changes how I feel.

hmm.......   did she get scoped for gluten intolerance @ the doctors,  or is this a self diagnosis...

Just a heads up cuz if you stop eating all gluten containing foods that's a high volume list of micronutrients that you will have to replace.. and it will come at significant increase in food costs.  You can make the numbers work with the pill bottle, but honestly how safe is that over the long run considering the significant molecular differences of supplements vs the naturally occurring compound.

The fact that we buy all organic (fruits, vegetables, meats, etc) is a much higher food cost than anything else.  It's worth it if you can afford it though.

She has been gluten free for 10 years now, so that's not new, it's all the other grains in the paleo diet which is a bit of a challenge because we eat a lot of rice.

So far so good. :)

I did this in college... cept' I wasn't so fancy.. I didn't cut the meat log, or the cheese.

I just had the whole meat log and a large block of cheese, and bit directly into them.

And what I didn't finish, I put it into the book store bag and into the fridge..

Good times, good times... (this is also when I lost my ads)

I did this last summer. Built a few cedar boxes which I then made homemade brownie mix in and popped them in the BBQ. Could have come out a bit earlier but alcohol can make you forget what you're doing from time to time. Still very interesting results.  **disregard my spices

What the...? I don't even understand the concept of what you are doing there.

You put brownie mix in a cedar box with marshmallows and nuts, then barbeque it?

Yup! Soak the boxes first for a few hours and make sure you check often and extinguish the flames. It makes for a smokey flavored desert. As long as you don't have too many gaps in the box you're good to go. I cooked stuffing in a box also and did mashed potatoes on a plank.

I can't say I've ever done that. But I basically BBQ every day in the summer so sometimes I like to get creative. There are all kinds of things you wouldn't think of BBQing that can be done in a wooden box. I have an entire book on it.
