Key's are stiff after tea accident...

Hi peep's, my wife accidently split green tea on my Filco Majestic 2 keyboard.  I let it dry for the night and it's working fine but 3 switches are stiff/sluggish, is there any way to fix this problem?

What type of switches? You can try to fix them by dusting inside the switch, but your best bet might just be desoldering and replacing just those few affected.

Does anyone know if putting Alcohol inside there will help?

I experienced the smallest drip of coffee infiltrating one key, which became sticky.  I mashed the key for a couple of weeks, and now it is fine.

Much more liquid than that and the best solution would be to replace the switch/s.

@ OP, try putting a dab of bearing lubricant or wd-40 on the sides of the stiff keyswitches with a toothpick. Should solve the problem.

HAHAHAHAHA...

The only way to fix this is to disassemble the keyboard, desolder the switch. POP it open, CLEAN IT, re-lubricate, Resolder..

All of the OTHER stuff only provide Subpar results. won't come close to "being like new"
