Give others priority, but if you end up with extra space due to people dropping, I'd add the MLP supporting characters to my buy.

Yeah, Kmiller I made an exception for since he helped with a bunch of the designs. I did say no to others because its really hard to keep track of everything as it is and its one more thing I need to arrange.

So excited about the Pac Man keys.

Has anyone ever done a vintage arcade game themed key set?  Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Tempest, Asteroids, Frogger, Dig Dug, Joust, Qbert, Centipede etc.  Seems like there would be lots of simple graphics to use since the technology restricted game elements to small simple abstract things.

AAaaanyways... I'm still waiting on about 15 more payments but I'm going to go ahead and send in the order to Imsto this week regardless of how many pay without further coercion. Everything seems good to go but I'll notify you guys if anything comes up. When the package is mailed out I'll post the tracking number for everyone to watch, though the tracking ends when it leaves the US. Should be fun!

This message is directed primarily at other group buy organizers, some of whom I'll probably PM about it, but I noticed something odd when double checking my Paypal account to make sure everyone had paid up... It seems that either I missed the notification that a member who I won't name publicly but there has already been some controversy over had cancelled his invoice or I didn't get one at all... leading to today where I ran a search in Paypal for all cancelled invoices and found his was cancelled, but his order was still in my form. It would have resulted in my shipping of keycaps to him for free while having never been the wiser unless I double checked in that specific way. It could be a glitch in my email or Paypal, or it could have been intentional, who knows. All I know is that I didn't get a PM from him either notifying me that he was cancelling it, or a PM asking me to do it. The following would be good practice for all group buy organizers and participants:

Organizers:
1) Double check who has paid by running a search among the invoices for that group buy date range and make sure all of the names under the cancelled status aren't still in your spreadsheet.
2) Potentially go through your paid list and cross reference... that's time consuming though
3) Some invoices will show as paid but the payment didn't go through (insufficient funds or cancelled payment via the money source,) so you have to actually click on the invoice number and look at the transaction details to see whether it did or not... that's very time consuming but if you have a discrepancy in what your balance should be and what it is, that's the only way to be sure.

Participants:
1) Its always good form to notify the organizer every time you do something, whether it be paying, modifying, or cancelling your order, or if you need to arrange delayed or alternative payment. Payment notifications in particular should be posted in the thread to keep it active, while others should be done by PM.
2) Don't just cancel your invoice and assume the organizer will figure it out... odds are he or she has a billion other notifications spamming them and there is a good chance they'll miss it.
3) There have always been ways to scam, but cancelling your payment or otherwise deceptively trying to get free keys will eventually lead to you getting caught, its always been nothing more than a matter of time.

Fortunately just about everyone on here is 100% on the level and stuff like that doesn't happen often, and I'm not accusing any individual here of doing so. You're all gentleman and scholars unless proven otherwise. :P

Cheers,
Dave

PS: I thought about posting this as a PSA somewhere but couldn't decide where, if a Mod has a good idea for it feel free!

I would recommend that someone able (mods) make it a thread, and sticky it in the group buys section. Good information, some of which might be obvious but then again might not, and it's always a good thing to have a reminder when someone's money is involved.

Yeah, a bunch of it should be common sense, but even I didn't know about the part where people could have it cancelled by their bank and I would not get a notification from Paypal that even though the invoice was listed as paid the money didn't actually go into my account.

Okay, here is the tracking/label number for the keys on their way to Imsto: CJ 292 208 945 US

Taking it to the post office now. Should update later tonight.

Edit: For some reason the tracking number isn't working with USPS. It was a large flat rate box so I had to use the long customs form and it may not show any tracking, sorry guys.

Also, first person to post in the thread the name of the Zerg playing Flash right now in RO32 MLG wins a free polish keycap with their order.  :p

Okay, first person to tell me the Terran map win rate for the round of 32 MLG Winter Championships 2013 that just finished gets a cookie, I mean a keycap.

Seriously though, effing medivac boosters. I saw this coming the moment those patch notes were released in the beta, but this is ridiculous... way worse than I expected. XD

I'm guessing 60.3%, although I'm not really sure.

Edit: I mean 70%, I miss counted
This is if the win rate is by Terran players and not total players, I have no idea about these things.

33 games had terran players of which terran won 25 of

-> 75.75% game win rate.

Be more specific with your questions brah, what is "map win rate"

Ah, sorry for the confusion, here's how I figured it:

Terran Wins
Polt 3-1 Creator (Protoss)
Last 3-0 Stephano (Zerg)
MVP 3-1 Feast (Protoss)
Taeja 3-1 Sase (Protoss)
Bomber 3-1 Goswser (Zerg)
Flash 3-1 Bly (zerg)
Innovation 3-0 Huk (Protoss)

Terran Losses
Killer (Zerg) 3-1 Thorazain (Terran)

TvT:
Jjakji 3-0 MKP

Other Matchups:
Life (Zerg) 3-0 Minigun (Protoss)
MC (Protoss) 3-0 CJ Entus Hero (Protoss)
Ret (Zerg) 3-1 Suppy (Protoss)
Sen (Zerg) 3-1 Vibe (Zerg)
Parting (Protoss) 3-0 State (Protoss)
Rain (Protoss) 3-0 Seed (Protoss)
Leenock (Zerg) 3-0 Babyknight (Protoss)

Not including the TvT, (which shouldn't be included because Terran wins 100% of that matchup lol), the Terrans won 22 out of 30 games (maps,) a winrate of 73%. Including the TvT, the winrate bumps up to 75.75%. Due to the ambiguity of the question, Kmiller8 I'm going to award it to you!

That's enough for SC2.

First person to name what TARDIS stands for gets a keycap. Also if you've already won you are no longer eligible to win, going to spread the joy. :)

Lol, okay so SilentK wins that one. More giveaways tomorrow!

CPT, have you been watching this MLG? Oh man this is ridiculous. I've always complained about drops OP, or Muta OP, but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. I'm expecting the RO4 to be 3+ Terrans... MC or Life might make it through. Parting loses to Flash, and Rain loses to Innovation. I'm calling Flash vs Life or Bomber for the finals.

I'm a bit obssessed with SC2 and MLG so yes. And I'm not complaining at all. I like this new shift into Brood War territory where balanced was issued by having super OP things. Think Plague/Dark Swarm, Siege Tanks, and Storms.

I don't mind your call but I think I'll go with Bogus/Innovation vs MC in the finals :D

I don’t think you can say anything about balance by those results. All those Terrans at MLG are pretty much the best ones Korea has. Every terran win in the first round was really to be expected, except for maybe polt vs creator (polt is really really good though!), but polt lost versus life anyway, and at least HuK would have lost without medivac boost, I watched those games. :P
I honestly didn’t expect Thorzain to lose, so that kinda makes up for Stephano losing, I think. Stephano is overrated anyway. And from there on … with 8 terrans in the Ro16 it’s really no surprise to see 4 in the quarterfinals. And beyond that? Who should stop Flash?

Having watched every game with a Terran I can say that without a doubt medivac boosters are too strong. As long as the player executes them well, they win. There was maybe one game, perhaps two, its getting blurry, where they didn't result in a victory. I definitely acknowledge your point but when it gets to the level of imba where the crowd is actually booing Flash during the game for doing medivac drops, you have to know something is up. Like... nobody boo's Flash. Nobody.

Edit: Also Thorazain didn't do drops very often or well. I noticed that and attributed his loss to that. Not taking anything away from Killer though, he played really well.

Thorzain doesn't ever do anything aggressive like that. And somehow I still love him...

I don't think we can judge boosters off 2 tournaments just yet. I think oracles and vipers are really unbalanced right now too. But since they're new, no one is using them as much. Medivacs everyone knows how to use them so they are.
