Smallfry, if not having it in SP profile is okay with you, I would suggest contacting Imsto directly to see about commissioning him to make a couple of those, I don't imagine I'll be starting up a group buy for row 1 1x keys anytime soon since that size is really uncommon. Usually the bottom row is 1.25x or 1.5x unless I'm misunderstanding you.

Halverson, those additional images look great. Since it looks like we're going to do them individually, I don't mind having so many options. However since the number of options is getting really high, in order to keep imsto from potentially losing money from only printing 1 or 2 keys of each kind, there will be a MOQ of 5 keys for everything, just to make sure he doesn't lose money on printing any of them. It should probably be closer to 10, but he said he didn't want to instate a MOQ because we're doing such a big group buy for him.

But again, as long as everyone recognizes that the detail that you're going to get is what you see in the small picture or less, I'm fine with it.

Sorry about putting it off again yesterday, I realized that since I'm going out of town for 6 days I wasn't going to get a chance to play any sc2 till I get back, and I will be able to work on keycap stuff in the meantime. My laptop is old lol.

Its not in there yet. As I mentioned in the last post, I put it off in favor of playing games while I had the chance. its actually pretty likely that I'm going to do it in the car while I'm heading out of town, since I've got mobile hotspot on my phone now. XD

The goal for today is to get AT, ATHF, some misc other keys, and the DOTA keys all put into the order form by the end of the day. The main problem with that is the large number of orders that were put in before then, so I will be sending out a mass email to those people inviting them to update their orders as necessary.

Slight change of plans, you can put in orders for athf now but you might as well wait till Monday because halverson is out of town too and we need to make sure the source images are big enough to make keys out of. Thus, I'm not putting all of them up for orders if some cant be run.

I was hoping for my Phantom:) but I understand and will see if I can't ping him at some point. They may be cool to have as an F row key, despite being the wrong profile I'd still use it on my row 1. I know there is quite a few Eagles around GeekHack, Hashbaz being one I recall off the top of my head.

Reading the first post, I noticed something about jimmies

Personally, I'll buy whatever minimum quantity is required to get the gorilla on a cap

The best zoidberg I can find is like 400x400, which might be a bit low for a decent print, however, our gorilla friend is at a glorious 1358 x 1502

Anyways, we've hit another snag. I received the images from Halverson today, and almost none of them are of sufficient size to use for legends. The images printed won't have sufficient detail to not be grainy. However, as I don't feel this group buy will be successful without their inclusion, I will vector them myself and produce scalable and high resolution images that we can call our own. Not that that matters but yeah. Only problem with that is that its going to take a bit and further delay this "put off for far too long already" group buy. By my standards its unacceptable how long its taken and this really should have had a 2nd go through the interest check process for the keycap deliberation part, but it is what it is. I'll get everything organized as soon as possible considering the holidays, and get everything solid and in place for ordering to end and payments to be collected in January. Merry Christmas!

Alright guys, I'm home and am going to get to work on vectoring the ATFH/AT keys and I've got some of the new high res images. Expect that to be finished by Monday with the order thread updated then, its going to take me all weekend to vector that many pictures.

As for ordering, once the order form is in its final form, (lol) I will send out a notification to everyone who has ordered via email or PM, whichever is easier to do. At that point, participants can then modify/add to their order or remove it if they want.

DOTA keycaps are ready but I'm not going to add them now and then add more on Monday. It doesn't make any sense to do that and will just result in more changed orders.

I signed up for his newsletter, but haven't heard anything yet. He said mid-January he might be getting them back in stock, but they've been removed from the site now and it's hard to be patient.

FWIW Dachef, you need the ink to be darker than the keys, thus black is out. JDCarpe didn't really explain himself... tsk tsk Uncle JD!

Plus Topre's keys are really just a dark grey, not black, but its all shades anyways. >.>

Anyways, I've accomplished several of my long list of "bs associated with school" so now I can get to work on those vectors. I found out on Monday, the day school started, that I had to come back for another semester because my adviser told me to take the wrong diversity class. Literally I didn't graduate because I took a diversity designated class that didn't count because it wasn't the right diversity designation (GER vs UCORE.) Since I was probably going to come back anyway to take my last Japanese class I need, it isn't THAT big of a deal, but I certainly wasn't planning on being in school right now and had to register etc the last few days. Anyways, going to take the blizzard trademark off of my "soon" and tell you it is actually going to be very soon this thing gets finalized and done.

Yeah, I'll do that today. Basically they all went up significantly, so I'm making them as close to cost as possible. For example, the new small flat rate box is now $23.95. My price will be $24 purely for simplicity. However, for this group buy, we're still going to use bubble mailers for everything, and I'm just going to absorb the increased costs. That means no price increase for shipping on this group buy unless you order more than 50 keys.

Anyways, I'm sure you're all waiting for an update, I'm still hard at work making these vectors, and I've finally finished moving all of my father's worldly possessions out of his house, I've been driving 3 hours each weekend to where he lives and moving the whole time. My goal is to have all of them done by Thursday! Then I can finally start collecting money and finalizing orders!

About a week before this closes can you send out a PM to update orders. I know I ordered about the same night as it opened, but a lot of things have been added since. I don't think you'd want to update orders every time you add a key, so I think this would be a bit easier. Any thoughts?
