All the keyboards that I have bought and sold in 2012. Was my first year with mechanical keyboards.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

I forgot to mention this $40 aftermarket VGA cooler: ARCTIC Accelero Twin Turbo II. It lowered my GPU temps by 10C on idle and by 20C at full load. I have an aging XFX 6870. It ran hot and sounded like a jet engine with the stock cooler. But, with the aftermarket cooler, it's now even more silent than my case fans! Best upgrade purchase ever.

Um... not ragin on ya, but there's no way you can get $40 of performance added to a 6870... I guess it's worth it if you're planning to ride low on the thing for a few more years.  :))

Like I said, it was purchased to decrease the temps and noise of my graphics card. I don't have the funds to upgrade my card for another year or two so the aftermarket cooler was a must.

How do You guys go through with the pet thing... I want one very much... but I mean I'm only 24, so I KNOW it's going to die on me... I couldn't bear that kinda emotional crash....  I plan for a pet when I'm 65, very much looking forward to it.

That's just negative thinking, you would do fine. It's a big responsibility, but at a point cats are almost self maintaining, food water and love is all they really need. Maybe consider adopting an adult rather a kitten, which are no question big investments in time and energy. Honestly I feel like Pixel(my cat) actually saved me more than I have her, as I suffer from depression and was on the verge of dropping out and just giving up on life. It's like how some people have a kid to 'save' their marriage, but less selfish and it actually worked.

I also "may" have depression.. but.. if a pet died on me.. sigh.... I would just nerd rage... and buy enough cocaine to OD myself.

it seems to be a unicomp.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I think I have to hand the best 2012 purchase to the Elektron Octatrack. Fun as hell... now I just need to find more interesting things to sample.

My best purchase was probably a Pilot Varsity, and the resulting 10 fountain pens I have acquired. Opened up a whole new world of writing for me. Also my Model F.
Risen from the dead for a model F.

Wyse buy colors were GSY for the dark grey, GBA for the light grey, and BBI for the fonts.

well that must have been long time ago ;) Yomega are pretty ****ty right now. And this yoyo wasn't so expensive. It was like 135€. Yoyos in general are not so expensive as keyboards and keycaps. Professional yoyos are from 100€-200€ and everything more expensive are yoyos from titanium and gold plated.
