Non blank cheap DSA keycaps? I've found only those blanks in the Signature Plastics site ...

How cheap?  DSA Dolch starts from $70.
yes, I saw this one and already bought it.
I'm looking for anything cheaper - around 30 or 40 bucks.

Not sure you'll find many at that price.

You just missed the Granite set, that was $35 or so.

If you look around Classifieds you will probably find a few people selling their Granite sets - seems some sets were not up to expectations.

$35 for the base but then you also had to get mods and a spacebar which put it ~$61 plus another ~$30 for the numberpad.....

35$ for alphas. You still need mods.

Gosh, IMHO this is Matt3o's best work!

Yes, I'm looking for this set - however it is way above 40 bucks ...

Ya. I saw those pics of the key spacing and the non centered legends. Those are SP execution issues though. The work Matt did is absolutely beautiful.

My set turned out ok. Minor cases of both his problems. The back lighting on my keyboard makes it more obvious. I can live with the quality of these, but probably won't buy any more SP. (we will see how the SA profile is to know for sure).

For some reason, 7º and 11º stick out in my head respectively. But I'd trust swill's measurements more than my memory.

I did not measure it recently. That is from memory as well. I measured it when I was working on my case.

Poker case does sit flat on the desk, but it's a wedge shape so there is definitely an angle there.  Not sure exactly what it is, but it's got one.

The Poker, II and the Pure have a very similar case, my Pure has an angle of about 5-6°.

Yes, I was wondering about the pitch of the wedge.

So it's not as simple as desolder switch, replace stab, resolder switch?

No, the stab holes are a different size. And the Costar stab wire won't work with Cherry stabilizers. I can't remember if the Cherry wire works with Costar but I don't think so. Also plate mounted Cherry stabilizer housings aren't the same design as PCB mounted so there's that to take into consideration. Stabilizers aren't like switches in the respect you're referring to.

Also plate mounted Cherry stabilizer housings aren't the same design as PCB mounted so there's that to take into consideration. Stabilizers aren't like switches in the respect you're referring to.

Correct here.  Costar and cherry wires are not interchangeable.  They are completely different shapes and there is enough of a size difference in the diameter of the wire that it wouldn't work on that front either.

There is a style of stab hole that will work with both plate mounted Cherry, and Costar.  Though you will not find it on a stock plate.  Those will only support the type of stabilizer that they were designed for.  It would however be possible to mod a cherry plate mount hole to fit costar but would require a lot of VERY careful work with a file.  Both cherry plate mount and costar stabilizer holes can be modified to make PCB mount cherry stabs work but will require a different PCB unless you are building a frankenboard.

Also, there are no pcb mount costar.  All costar stabilizers are plate mount and Alps switches are their own stabilizers of which there a a number of slight variations all being plate mount as well to my knowledge.

If I remember correctly Originative once offered them but I think a lot of people never eceived those. Apart from that there is a GB by Ivan that is closed but not over yet. Maybe somebody who got in is willing to sell their order.

Not sure but both should not wear off (because dye goes into the plastic and I've only seen POM and I think PBT rainbow sets).

Right, there's pellets of POM or PBT which are those colors most likely. I don't think they're dye sublimated.

I was curious because I'm experimenting with it and as unscrewed it and took it out of the case it gradually stopped working. As in only a couple of keys worked and then none after I took it out. As I started to put it back in it started working again. Sound like somethings come loose?

IIRC, some rubber dome boards have multiple layers plastic sheets with traces.  It's possible that these need to be held tightly together to function properly, and opening it up would allow gaps that cause it to not work.  But it's been years since I took apart a rubber dome, so my memory might be failing me here.   :thumb:

Just buy a KMAC. You can get them really cheap nowadays (300-400$ assembled) and they use Cherry PCB mount stabilisers.

Would it be possible to put a Filco or Ducky TKL into this case?

Filco for sure.  It is designed for Filcos.  I don't know about Ducky with that case, though.

Just buy a KMAC. You can get them really cheap nowadays (300-400$ assembled) and they use Cherry PCB mount stabilisers.

Ah yes, please point me in the direction of the KMAC store :) I would surely pay $300 for an assembled KMAC.
