I have Topre artisans but no Topre board.

Is there a converter/slider that will allow Topre caps to fit on MX switches?

I know, of course, that the reverse is possible.
Sounds like you need some Topre keychains. ;)

Those are expensive from what I've seen.

That all depends really. I need to quit being lazy and make some.

Yeah I guess the ones I've seen are just expensive. I'd be up to buy a 45g one for a reasonable price.

If these came with those assorted color Realforce caps, I probably would have purchased one.

To use Topre keycaps on a Novatouch, you would need to replace the Novatouch's MX-compatible sliders with original Topre sliders.

I'm looking to put my novatouch stems into an FC660C.

I assume i have to do that with the stabilizers as well

Is there anything specific i need to know before doing that mod?
I already silenced my novaotuch with landing pads, so i know how it is inside.
I don't have the 660c in yet, so i don't know how the novatouch stabilizer will fit yet.

Also, will those 6x spacebar available on maxkeyboard fit?

Thanks

The best bet is to trade for MX or try to get a hold of a Novatouch and some Topre sliders.

Thanks. Some artisans are hard to find in MX but I might try to get a μtron. If someone came out with a split Topre board for under $400 I'd snap that **** up.

There are some Epson split Topre on Yahoo Japan auctions going for about $100 right now.

You can transplant the Novatouch's components (sliders/stabilizer housings) directly into the FC660C. You don't have to drill/file anything like you would if you were trying to do the same thing on an HHKB.

As far as the spacebar goes, and as far as I'm aware, 6u Cherry spacebars with centered stems don't exist. The FC660C uses a spacebar with a centered stem, so you'll be stuck either using the stock spacebar, or one from another Topre board.

Looks cool but I need a board that's split down the middle (i.e. the alphas are divided in two).

A poll in your own thread in the appropriate forum here would work decently well. Or a survey that you could try to peddle over on reddit as well.

Hey,

What's the standard pok3r resistors rated at? I know that the PCB has presoldered resistors for bright LED's, so are the individual resistors 470 ohm?

I'll check that with a multimeter when my kb arrives if noone has first-hand experience ;D

Depends on whether you want to have lighting or not but if it's just switches you need to have diodes and controller parts soldered

Easy way to repair a stretched out coiled cable?

I have had moderate success by wrapping it tightly around a wooden dowel and letting it relax for a while. If possible, lay it out in the sun on a railing or something and let it cycle through hot and cold a few times.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

Um... I found the deal selling industrial Model M (1394946).
It's about 105000 Won (100$), and I'm really considering bite this or not.

If I bite this, my whole custom TKL project will canceled. but got nice full-fatty-sized keyboard without super key, but look! dat gray color is fabulous!
but not bite this, at least I can wait untill TEX release new Aluminum TKL Cases. but Model M will gone forever, mayby.

what you gonna do if you were me?

It's about 105000 Won (100$), and I'm really considering bite this or not.

If I bite this, my whole custom TKL project will canceled. but got nice full-fatty-sized keyboard without super key, but look! dat gray color is fabulous!
but not bite this, at least I can wait untill TEX release new Aluminum TKL Cases. but Model M will gone forever, mayby.

what you gonna do if you were me?

You should be able to re-sell the industrial for a profit, if it is complete, undamaged, and working properly.

Hopefully a similar question for those who have had both sets of these keycaps:

Do the Cherry lasered PBT really *feel* similar to OG dyesubs? I know the looks are awful, curious about feel.

I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times but is there a substance that will dissolve ink from keycaps but not ABS/PBT?
I proxy anything including keyboards (キーボード / 鍵盤), from both Japan (日本) and China (中國). For more information, you may visit my dedicated webpage here: https://www.keyboards.es/proxying.html

To me they don't feel as silky smooth as dyesubs do, but I could also just be imagining that.
demik will never leave.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
