I never have had a click-clack mostly because I just got my keyboard and am in high school and can't justify to my parents paying for a key that costs the same as my entire keyboard. This does not prevent me from dreamily skipping through each page in the "post your clacks" thread thinking about all the possible color combos I could have with some keyset/keyboard/case that I might possibly buy in the future.

I actually got into mechanical keyboards through the subreddit that you all have probably heard of. When I got wind of "GeekWhack.organ" I had to check it out for myself. Despite some opinions over there, my experience so far on this site has been great and, I have learned so much. My first keyboard came through the mail a few days ago. Everybody has been helpful answering my questions and having fun rambling off topic sometimes as well. I would've never thought that keyboards could be such an intriguing hobby, yet I find myself spending hours reading threads here just to learn more about them. I am so enthusiastic about keyboards, and my only problem is that I have no friends that are into it as well. However, I did bring my keyboard into school for some of them to try out and two have asked me where they can get one.

I plan on participating in my first GB and getting a set of thick PBT two-tones from the R2 GB and getting a sexy click clack would be a cherry (get it?) on top of all the awesomeness this hobby is so far.

I am but one and a half month into the mechanical keyboard hobbit, had a QF TK blues once and sold it for a new green switches board. I never had a click clack before as I am still a student and don't have a stable income to sustain the collection. I want a click clack to start my collection, and as soon as I get a job I'll save up for a custom board and my very own collection of novelty keycaps! ))))

Awesome thing you're doing for the community! You don't see generosity much often and I've been into mech keyboards since '06.

I never owned one, but I would like one for my small collection. If I get it and I really like it I'll own it for life, not gonna resell or flip it undercover for profit. If I don't like it I'll just pass it on to someone else. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it: I want one. That's it.

Wow! Giving away a clack! I don't own a clack because I'm new to the hobby and I just haven't been lucky enough to win one at the $40 price when ClackFactory offers them up. There's no way I would pay what some people pay for them, so that's also probably why I don't own one. But I am curious to see if they're really as beautiful and awesome (and well-crafted) as some people claim. So I would make a deal -- if you give me the CC (MX or BS -- I don't own a Topre) I promise I will give it back after I check it out and you can donate it again, or I will forward it to the next winner of your choice, in order to keep the love flowing at GH. Other reasons why the clack should go to me:

On weekends I practice full contact origami.
I build small, suspension bridges in my backyard.
I gave my own father 'the talk'.
Children and small animals trust me.
I can bicycle up steep hills with unflagging speed.

Err... I HAVE clacks, but none I've paid less than $100 for after attempting 14 clack sales on both EK and 4grabs over the past 2 years. Guess that doesn't really count does it. Good luck and congrats to whoever wins it.

I'm a newish Geekhacker here who has spent all of his money on here (only 14 q_q, no income) for a custom QFR, but the PCB was kind of ghetto-soldered from the previous owner, and whilst swapping keys with LEDs, I ruined the traces on it, and it now will not work....   I can now not find a PCB for the QFR, and I just missed the Phantom GB, so I'm out $140 until someone sells their Phantom on the thread and I have some money (I spent it all on both portal sets and 2 bunnycaps and a GH June Tshirt...  There is no way I can afford a click clack in the near future as I had also bought a faulty watercooler at newegg and it shorted my motherboard, ruining it, so I also need to save up for a new system and in can no way fathom of having the funds to buy a click clack even at retail price, if I could even find one to buy.  That is my story of why I do not have a click clack, also, bunny, thanks for giving geekhackers this opportunity to win such a great prize for no reason at all!!!

A clack (Shortened version of Click Clack, often refereed to as CC) is a keycap made for both MX switches and Topre. They come in all sorts of wonderful colours and flavours so its hard to explain exactly what a CC is; hope this helps some of you newer players!

I am very new to GH and haven't really had a chance to contribute, my biggest being springing an idea for SP spacebar GB in the Tai Hao GB.

I am in the process of getting my first true mechanical (Currently using Razer BWU) with some certain keycaps, making a custom KB roof and maybe even a wrist rest. Being located in India is a big hindrance as the only thing available in the name of keyboards are rubber-domes, TVS-e mech boards or Razer boards.

I doubt there is an serious GHer from India on this forum, being active on a number of tech sites, I am trying to encourage and covert dome users.

Honestly, I doubt I even qualify for this giveaway, since I am so new, however what the heck.

Never had a ClickClack (obviously. otherwise I wouldn't be posting here). I had a chance during the F2.5 sale recently, but I passed it up and gave my spot to the next person. I don't care if I get one, but it would be nice.

i don't think i could ever bring myself to the point of paying as much for a topre cc as i did for my keyboard. but man, i would really love to have a hacker orange, revenge red, or tri-color especially - to really make my keyboard stand out from the stock profile. the lack of topre options for customization is kind of a bummer, but in time i hope to have this baby looking classy.

honestly, i'd be completely surprised and incredibly grateful if someone was kind enough to donate a cc to the cause.
