I find furiously masturbating with steel wool to bbw conjoined twin midget crushing pron, then eating a can of cat food, huffing some model glue, and lightly choking myself works very well when unable to sleep.

I learnt a trick off my mum that never fails me. Get comfortable in bed and then concentrate on tightening a small group of muscles somewhere on your body for a couple of seconds and then release. Do this over and over alternating muscle groups and you should drift off within a few minutes. Really helps if you keep your breathing in time with the muscle movements too.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I've found that melatonin works very well in promoting the onset of sleepiness. Melatonin is a natural occurring hormone found in the body and is also available in pill form over the counter. I began using it about 2 months ago and I've been getting the best sleep since junior high (12+ years).

Just take two benadryl...diphenhydramine is the active ingredient in benadryl and is also the active ingredient in over the counter sleeping pills (which happen to be 10x the price of benadryl).

Edit: Just read "natural".  Nvm the diphenhydramine thing then.

They used to sell this stuff called Drank at gas stations that made Mellow Tea and Lazy Cakes look like energy drinks. Man, even half a can of Drank would knock out a bull elephant, it had a metric ****ton of melatonin and valerian root in it.

You can't get much more natural than a bat to the backside of the head. That'll put you right out like a baby in warm pool of soothing blood.

Wait, does "sleep aid" NOT mean "murder" in this context?

I tried it twice, once by itself and once mixed with a can of (the old formula) Four Loko and would venture that yes, it's probably quite unhealthy. Good times though.

Probably like many other places it depends on the pizzeria. Personally I like wood fired or Chicago style, but artisan style pizza is what would be considered 'Italian' pizza here in America.

I tried the melatonin thing for about 3 weeks when I had some "issues" sleeping..  Eventually I stopped feeling the 4mg. and had to take 8-12... I didn't think it would ramp up that fast..

darn, dude, that's a lot of melatonin.  haha.  Yeah it messes with your circadian rhythm.  If you just use it to "correct" your sleeping problem for a few nights, then stop, I think it's effective.   :thumb:

This. It's not meant as a sleeping pill. It'll work that way initially if you're sleep is out of whack though, generally. As stated, it's meant to reset your circadian rhythm which helps with the cycles of day and night.

Years ago, I went to my doctor for some help with falling asleep. I told him my mind raced, and I had issues falling asleep. He prescribed, off label, Seroquel, an anti-psychotic. Basically, you take it, and in 45 minutes, you get extremely groggy and off to dream land you go. One of the coolest feelings. But after my one bottle, I didn't really use it after.

My sleep was having issues again a little more recently, and took melatonin. I started with 5mg, and it sort of helped. I found that 10mg was closer to what my body needed.

And for the record, studies have shown that backlight, from monitors, phones etc... affects your melatonin levels. If you use devices a lot, you'll need more to compensate.

Edit - went to find an article that showcased it for anyone interested (I read about it awhile ago) : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2194806/Using-mobile-phones-tablets-bed-affecting-sleep-warn-scientists.html

This is a reason why F.lux wouldn't be a bad idea for some people.

It could be early stages of type 2 diabetes. I recall that you're Asian, so I'd assume you eat buckets of rice.

Insulin resistance is VERY prevalent among the Asian population, as is Diabetes in late life 45-50+ of age.
