Ok guys I need to help to convince a friend.

Ok he's on cherry mx blues and says they are meant for gaming.... Can I punch him? lol. I told him what they are and he says membranes are better for typing... so please help me convince him before he makes a mistake buying a membrane KB trying to save him.

I know they are fine I've played on them, they are just heavy for long hours.
But to say that "gaming" mechanical keyboards suck for typing and what he said afterwards lol....
This is why I don't like keyboards being marketed for "gaming". People think they are the best thing in the world and they are perfect for gaming. I know someone who has a BWU 2012 who doesn't know what switch he has. But anyway I wish they stated what blues actually do and what other switches like corsair at least does.

It's opinion. You had problems with blues for gaming, but when I owned them I could play FPS for 12+ hours with no problems. Not sure what to say about membrane for typing.. I guess your friend has some unpopular opinions...

Your friend is just misguided, but I'm with TP on this one.

If you aren't ready to cut him out just yet, get him a different membrane to type on - I think his problem is that his muscle memory is too strong.

I think that membrane keyboards are excellent for typing, though not the best. Of course I'm talking about my model M buckling spring hammer over membrane keyboards. Only the model F is better for typing in my opinion.

Sadly topre do not make a membrane keyboard (as far as I know), or you might get him to try it.

I'm currently using my kmac as a paperweight right now, coincidentally.

...  great I just bought a Model M on ebay to use as my main gaming/everything keyboard lol  I guess I'll have to buy another mechanical keyboard
