You included a freaking code key?!?!?!?!?! I just went from six to midnight.

<3 you guys.

EDIT: AND A R3 CTRL. This just went to the very top of my 'MUST BUY' list, transferring cash to my Paypal now.

EDIT MKII: Is one of those Esc keys for 60% boards?

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

haha thanks sir

and its just to give people options

your always better to have too many than too few

still slightly fine tuning things but getting pretty close

i have quotes on offering the solarized add on alphas, its kinda pricey unless we hit 25 orders, and im worried it will struggle as people may not want 2 sets of alphas, that being said, id love to have it included myself

This is shaping up to be my favourite set. It's going to make it much easier to give Calm Depths to my brother for Xmas.

Cool!  Great work on the new mock up!

Just thought I'd throw some color scans from Kroengar together.  These are the colors listed on Ryan's mock ups:

I love the color of the mods and alphas--very vintage vibe :)  And YCC looks buttery, like cheesecake.  It should be called Y(U)MM.

Will you add "Erlang" as well?  :)

Oh, and off-center Control as a Caps Lock replacement???

This is a great looking set.

I know, I like the blue and yellow colors together. It's not blue and gold, but it works. Really looking forward to this set.

Since we're all throwing wishes for additional keys. Any chance of adding a "CMD" for Mac users? This would replace the "WIN" key.

when i comes to extra keys, its no bother for me to do them, its just a case of whether wanna pay that bit more

its not huge but as example numbers, lets say a basic tenkeyless set is 75, its whether the majority of people would be happy to pay 80 instead but have a few more options

i myself prefer more complete sets with extras and more option

i think what it comes down to nd the way i like to do things is this

set a price that is at a tier we can be pretty sure that we will hit, then if we break that tier, i like to use that extra bit of money to add more keys to sets and complete some of the requests people make

so if when i release the moclkups at order stage, that doesnt mean your extra keys you requested wont happen, its just a case of us breaking the price tier the set is priced at

I think this is a great way of doing things for a couple of reasons.

1) People place an order early because they want to see the higher tiers hit and the extra keys added.
2) It keeps the price down which means you will get more orders anyway.

thanks very much sir

i know some people like to see jsut regular tiers etc, but i think my way of doing things keeps things clear, and running smoothly, and just means at the end of the day things get made instead of falling through

To be honest I got pretty excited for this when I heard Ctrl Alt would be running it, knew we'd wind up with our caps much sooner as you're much better set up to deal with GB's that your average geekhacker. No offense to Ryan Uber.

But I barely use any of those :(

How about a vim and an emacs cap (written names)? it would be a good one to add a shortcut :P

I'm afraid if there will be a dozen extra modifier and special caps for all occasions, it might add a non-trivial amount to the set for those who don't use ANSI but need a tsangan kit--keeping in mind that this is an SA set, which is more expensive than normal DSC sets.  In that case, after weighing some quotes from SP, it might be better to offer them as an addon kit.  Plus, where do you put  thoseo "vim" and "emacs" legends--how often do you need to open a new emacs session--it's almost as fast to type "emacs" or "xemacs&" than have an entire dedicated modifier for them or a function row key.  Just thinking out loud.  "Code" and "hack" seem generic enough to just be there for flavor text.

there is a new mockup i will show people shortly with some additions and a couple slight fixes to things in the last one

this will be the mockup we launch the buy with, should we go over tiers then i will start adding extra keys in, in an order i think that benefits the most people

Actually never need one, emacs is always open :P

I do like the code and hack keys, I was just replying to cody as he mentioned the ruby, python and go keys :)

I think it would make sense to have an addon kit for all the specific extra keycaps.

Any chance of an escape key to replace caps lock? Or am I the only one who remaps it like that, it's great for vim.

edit: are you ditching the super/meta keys?

Will the cursor keys be arrows as in mockup or could they be LEFT, RIGHT, UP, and DOWN like round 4 did. I think that fits better with the mod legends

Agreed. If there isn't a specific "WIN" key, then no need for "CMD".

Yes! "Super" and "Meta" are much, much more appealing than "Win" and "Menu," IMHO.

Very nice BunnyLake, you seem to add that extra je ne sais quoi every time I see your latest posts on this penumbra beauty.

I have to say it, this SA Profile might be the sexiest one thus far.  Retro with a touch of newness added to it.  Excellent colour specs and layout for the entire key-set.

Hope to see this soon in the Group Buy section Bunny..... make it happen  :thumb: .

I'm happy to go with the flow but does anyone else think the 60% Esc should be red as well?
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I'm gonna try to get a code key in all the future group buys :)

I added the keys, Ruby, Python and Go. (for developers)
If you want anything different let us know.

Make and LaTeX/TeX keys would be cool too, surely Make is more used than Ruby?

I removed Python, Ruby and Go

Replaced with Super Meta and Run.

Definity. I love to have an extra kit for this set.

I think it would make sense to have an addon kit for all the specific extra keycaps.

GB's here hardly ever cover those keys, not that many keyboards actually have that layout.

What keys would need to be added? Don't know HHKB layout, its just not my thing.

I will be very happy if you can bring a kit contains:
Row2 1x 1u ESCAPE (already in Tsangan Kit)
Row2 1x 1u \|
Row3 1x 1.5u DELETE
Row3 1x 1.75u CONTROL
Row3 1x 1.75u SHIFT (already in Tsangan Kit)
Row3 1x 1u FN
Row4 2x 1.5u META (I always use ALT instead if there is no proper keycaps...)
Row4 2x 1u ALT (I always use left and right arrow key instead if there is no proper keycaps...)
Row4 1x 7u(for GH60?) Space bar (already in Tsangan Kit)

BTW, I'm loving solarized color scheme with vim and terminal.  :D

Could you please add these two keycaps at least? 1x \| in Row2 and 1.5x DELETE in Row3.
I think HHKB users will like these. Thanks.

i can remind you 2 nearest GB use SA profile are Calm Depths & 23 Commando. Both of GB supported.

The 2nd, not many keyboard support that layout. But many people use pad.

Finally, i hope Bunny have a great GB that support most layout like 2 GB of SA profile before.

Bonus you 2 pad use R4

Those 4 keys could also be used to replace the escape key for a little extra variety.
They could be novelty ones like Geek Hack, Go, Run, Make, or vim or emacs logos. Or 4 awesome faces that match the colour scheme.
perhaps make a 1x F-row novelty set? I'd order it.
