Got gypped, **** is broken. I email him back not expecting a response, obviously. He's like, sure, I'll give you your money back, claiming something about him not knowing that it was broken because he gave it as a gift to his son or something and he must have broke it (blaming your son and feigning ignorance is always a good indicator of a strong moral character).

Surprisingly, I get my money back. What really bothers me is that he didn't want to take the headphones back. Instead, he says "Next time you decide to sell it, make sure the other guy knows you're a stand up guy as well". The exchange happened in a parking lot, he actually drove up to me and gave me the cash back and refused the headphones through his driver side windows. He drives off, feeling morally superior, I'd imagine, and I'm left standing there thinking "WTF just happened."

Still wondering what exactly he meant. Was he trying to feel morally superior, or was he just a grifter trying to encourage me to grift the next guy? In either case, why the hell would he give me my money back?

I love USPS for most things but when i'm shipping to the other side of the country it gets expensive after 10+ lbs. Anything to Alaska or Hawaii is unbelievably expensive (just shipped a 3lb item to Alaska that cost me $22). Fortunately Guam and Puerto Rico are pretty cheap.

Uh, maybe I'm being naive, but it sounds like he was just a good guy who didn't want to scam you. Assuming good guy status, he didn't want the headphones back cause he couldn't resell them knowing they were broken. If I were you, I wouldn't look anymore into it than that. Assume the best, not the worst whenever possible.

The game board boxes make good keyboard storage boxes, but they are a little big. 2 Model Ms will fit in one.

Just remember that they come in packs of 25, so if you order "3" you will get 75 boxes.

It is surprising but the PO gives them away, as long as you have a physical street address for them to be delivered to.

I'm complaining about the fact you can basically order 25 boxes for free that match the exact same size you want, without needing to cut, from the post office (well, minus some tape).

The amount of cutting/stapling and effort/materials to cut and form a 24 x 24 x 24 into 20 x 10 x 6, IMO, is not trivial.

This is strictly for keyboards. Keycaps and stuff are fine, bubble mailers all the way. But keyboards are definitely a hassle.
