I just remembered why I don't read the newspaper down here.  Apparently Scott Walker has done amazing things for Wisconsin, tenure is bad, universities need to become like the University of Phoenix, a "living" wage of $15 hurts people and is unfair, that not having a job is worse than working 40 hours a week and still not being able to afford to live, an increase in the capital gains tax is unfair and bad, and that encouraging mixed income housing and higher density housing to counteract suburban sprawl is bad and racist.

And you live in SoCal?  Huh.  Would never expect that.  Everybody I hear from up here hates Walker.

Almost every time I see it proposed there are cries of "age discrimination" and people get all worked up about it.  Since old people have a powerful special interests group and are some of the most entitled people out there, nothing happens. 

Why does it even have to be an old person thing?  There are loads of ****ty drivers of all ages.  What bothers me is that you pass the test once when you're 16, and then you're set for life!  (??) 

I think we should re-test everyone every 5 years or so (whenever you renew your license).

Retesting every five years is a waste of money. It should go by your driving record and old age.

Certain number of tickets within your 4 years and you get retested. There is no need to punish good drivers.
