It's just not something to get that worked up over. Like the constantly "losing hope" comments.
I don't care if people self-diagnose that much, as long as they seek medical attention to confirm or deny the claims. Many people understand when they are actually depressed and seek help though.
The OCD self-diagonsis is rather something society thinks is okay, because it's fun to say "I have OCD" when you do not. People can get really sensitive over **** like that, and for good reason.
Um... it's hard in --1 post-- to go into all the topics you've just initiated..
hrrrm.......................
Constantly losing hope, this is most likely the case because the pleasurable activities in our daily lives happen so often that it creates the illusion that a person should be consistently happy. But happiness has a chemical cost on the brain, and it is not designed nor capable of perpetuation in such a state.
So, repeated bouts of emotional swings could be the consequence of our blessing.
As for self diagnosis, well we do it, on the things that are not enough of a problem to drive all the way to the doctors and wait for an hour in the waiting room..
What society thinks, you have to be careful with this, because not all of society is at an equal level of expression and intellect..
The majority of people are not well educated.. even if many think they are.. this leads to a sinkhole of viewpoints, which is not conducive to productive resolutions.. Many times devolving into ineffectual arguments of problems which do not actually exist.
