What's on your bucket list?
« on: Tue, 29 October 2013, 19:28:31 »
For those that don't know what a bucket list is:

buck·et list
nouninformal
1.
a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime.

i want to rally race. and flip a car on a turn. i know it sounds weird, but it looks so awesome.

take a road trip across the US in either a sports car (m3, m5, ferrari/lambo, just about anything fast) or a motorcycle

own an m16

visit japan, korea and china

own a subaru wrx sti. one of my favorite cars ever, and my dream car (well, attainable dream car)

never have kids

fly a helicopter even though im terrified of heights

make somebody's life better
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

Well, I can't say I have a full list yet, but there are two things that I know I want to do off the top of my head;

Drive a car really fast, like on a track or closed road where I don't have to worry about breaking any laws. Not as easy as it sounds, here in Norway there's an 80kph speed limit on track days, you're only exempt if you're part of organized practice or a race.

Also go in a helicopter. Not fly it, mind, just as a passenger.

I want a couple solid 5-gallon buckets.  I have some smaller 2-gallon buckets, but their uses are limited.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

Just functional stuff like my Dad did when I was growing up, furniture is expensive and ugly as hell these days so I want to be able to make my own bookshelves and desks etc.

I was home-schooled so I never got a woodshop class at school or anything.

I really wish i did, the bottom dropped out of it around 2008/2009. I really loved doing it, still do. But the market is just to volatile. When i left, i didnt know if i had a job the following week. Its seems to have recovered now, but im making more money now where i am

its all i can find currently, pictures never do the things justice, i once built a front door, that was 14'x14'. when it was done it needed to flat decked to the house in the middle of the night because it would take out power lines if it was up and down, it was crazy

I used to be like that, now I write lists for EVERYTHING. Have a little notepad on each of my desks telling me what needs to be done, considering I spend about 16 hours a day in front of a PC it works for me.

Fire and RPG, although any variant or rocket launcher would do fine.

Own a tank, and that's not even too hard, one-day... one-day (and $48,000 later)
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

RPG's are overrated. A tank in the other hand, would make a fine winter ride

Haha some guy was selling one in the local classifieds, running for $26000. Me and my granddad had a good laugh about it, he had tank driving experience when he was in the UK military.

You can pick tanks up cheaper, they refurbish them in the good ol' USSR generally $28,000 for a runner, and $3000 for any paint job you want.  ^-^
