Agreed, though I have semi-lurked here for a couple of months with sporadic posting, I can actually thank bro for making me look at more than just 3 sections of this board.  There are worlds of great topics to get involved in, and I will soon have to file for bankruptcy and hide from a very angry wife for some of the interest checks that I've been poking around in...

I've really cut back on my reddit intake (outside of /r/cfb) ever since the /r/buildapc 100k subscriber contest.  I put a **** ton of work into it, got a vast majority of the prizes sponsored (take a look at them, it was no small number and many high value prizes), and managed most of the entries and voting.  Instead of a ton of congratulations and thanks for the huge contest, most of what we got was salt about contests making people actually do work to enter, about not having enough prizes, about not having raffles and drawings for all the prizes, and so on.  It pretty much killed all my love for Reddit since so many people came off as so damn entitled to getting something.

Maybe that's a minority mindset, but it really feels like it's a growing mindset over there and it kills me.

I've had an account for something close to like 7 years now and it's truly unrecognizable now compared to what it was just a couple years ago. There are corn kernels of decent information and discussion but you have to search through mountains of **** to find them.
