I SOLD MY ENTIRE COLLECTION OF DOTA 2 IMMORTAL ITEMS TO FINANCE THIS SALE

and by entire collection, I mean my pudge hook and my kunkka sword.

I hate both of those heroes, so I ain't even mad.

It'll probably go lower this time. I wouldn't be surprised to see CSGO hit $2.50

which means we'll have a CSGO game night.

I picked it up because I do have a wheel(although it's an F1 style wheel....) and I used to play 18WoS when I was a kid, and there's something nice and relaxing about just driving stuff from A to B.
Excellent! I've got a Fanatec so I get to see a Porsche GT3 wheel while I drive my truck down the highway - picturing an F1 wheel inside the cab of a big rig cracks me up even more :)) ET2 is a surprisingly fun game IMO... I love putting on a local radio station while I drive (internet radio FTW!) and the satisfaction of backing a trailer into a tricky spot using just your mirrors is so great
this is making me want to break out the wheel and get in some virtual miles!

Just not a fan of the game, I hate open world games that force you to play stealthy, or all aggro...

Picked up Far Cry 2 for $2.49, that's a deal. Obviously I'm behind the times but from what I understand it's a more interesting game than 1 or 3. I listen to a lot of Idle Thumbs podcasts and they're constantly raving about it.

Game Dev Tycoon is a fun little game that'll eat an afternoon or 2. For $4 it's a steal.

I love ETS2, I've been thinking about getting a fanatec wheel just for that and asetto corsa. Playing on mouse and keyboard definitely takes away from the experience, not to mention makes it much harder to drive manual.

Everyone who for some reason doesn't already have Half Life 2 should install it and play it right now.  (hopefully this doesn't apply to anyone)

I've been wanting to get HL1 and HL2 for a while. I've still not played them.

Assetto Corsa + the Fanatec 911 GT3 is so incredibly awesome, the force feedback in that game works so well with the belt drive and the load cell in the elite pedals really makes it feel like braking a real car! It's a shame AC didn't win the community choice last round, hopefully it gets the 50% off sale at some point (if it doesn't go on sale further, I'd say it's still worth $27)

Fanatecused to offer a package for $260 + shipping that was only a little more than a Logitech G27 setup and it's definitely nicer... looks like they bumped the price to $300 though :(

http://us.fanatec.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=562

I have seen some people sport the G27 wheel + Fanatec CSR Elite pedals to save some coin.

People aren't exaggerating when they say that they're some of the greatest games of all time. I just started a new game on HL2, playing through on hard difficulty makes the atmosphere incredible. A real sense of urgency when you're getting chased by the Combine and serious relief when you make it out of an area into a safe spot.

Glad you're enjoying it!  :)  It's so true.  Even for being an older game with "poorer" graphics, it's just so intense.  I love it.

Damn.  I think I might get this now, seems really relaxing and fun.  Might need to pick up a wheel at some point too.

+1
When my friend described the game to me it sounded like the most boring game on the planet, but after I saw the trailer,  I eventually bought it and still love it.

I didn't really like it. It felt like a phone game to me.

But, for $2.50 you can't really go wrong.

I also grabbed the Bioshock pack. I love those games but never had legit before... yeah I know. I haven't played Infinity yet so not a bad deal at all. Also got System Shock2 so I can play it gain without faffing around with getting it going on my old 98 PC when I want to replay it next time.
How can not have HL2 or never played it? That is madness! Sure the vanilla game looks a little dated, but there are a few HD texture packs and so on... as well as LOADS of full conversion mods/stand alone games which use it's resource files that could keep you busy for a really long time. Definitely a great value game.
I'm also on team red. I had to hunt around and add some stuff in wishlist on the slim chance I actually would be selected to win anything LOL.

Hey, so if anyone gets some Realm of the Mad God in-game items from crafting over the next week, feel free to send them my way. My Steam id is the same as my GH id ;D

I'll trade you for any in-game items I get for another game. Right now I have some Loadout items.

I hopped on the deus ex train and never looked back.

How can I not have played it? well when I was growing up, we always had like 3 games for PC (no consoles in my house) sonic CD (with ecco the dolphin), Myst, and star wars episode 1 racer. When we finally got deus ex I played the heck out of it.

Now that I can buy my own games I ended up with tons, I just never saw the halflife franchise on sale when I had money to buy it. I did play through portal and portal II though.

I was thinking of getting the stanley parable, but I am still not sure about that one. My old room-mate loved terraria.

On the main store page, scroll down to the Summer Adventure map and click on it. There should be a button that says Join A Team somewhere.

yeah I clicked on that thing on the main store page, then I think it put me in a team after it asked to vote for next group of games for the sale.

Well you should definitely get all the Half Life games, certainly missing out on some major classics and as I said the mods available are massive which make it an even greater value.

Thanks. I'm in team purple though I cannot seem to vote anywhere.

Vote thing should be under 'community choice' banner on the main sale page. Voting does earn you cards, so you should find it and do so.
Just saw that DuckTales is on flashsale... mega nostalgia, played the hell out of the original when I was a kid. Kind of tempted.

Stanley Parable... well it's different. It's sort of a non game, not as much so as Dear Esther though in a similar vein.

The DT remake is excellent, I have it for PS3. They redid everything in the exact same art style as from the show, plus hired the original voice actors to reprise their roles for the added cut scenes. It's a short, but really solid platformer.
