[RANT] Friend screwed me over real bad.

Friend owes me money.
Asked him to pay.
No cash he said.
Asked him to help me purchase stuffs online instead.
Seller messaged me cause friend used my login.
Said chargeback. The actual F?

Should i punch him in the balls and ask him what happened or do i do the latter first?

shouldn't have let him borrow money to begin with.

next time you let somebody borrow money, just right it off as a loss. if they return it, great. if not, well, they burned their bridges.

It's a pretty small amount so i personally don't mind unless we're talking about hundreds over here.

i think the bigger problem here is, why is he using your accounts? your friend already seems very untrustworthy. bad at paying back, then getting on your account (without your permission) to reverse a sale.

Welp, he recently did a lot of ****ty stuff (and much much more before that I can imagine) to the local pc community here. I guess I have to recall back the phantom that im actually building for him now since he didnt pay me anything just yet, and now this.

I asked him if he can help me get some stuff online since he has no cash and he said yeah.
So i used one of those junk collecting emails, login and asked him to checkout. And he asked me to change the shipping address right away cause apparently he used his address

I thought he's alright. He led me into the PC modding scene and he has helped me in the past.

yeah, I thought, well, if he doesn't pay for it then I'll just use it. oh well, guess i've to use it then

My basic rule of thumb for loaning money to people is quite simple: I don't do it if I can't afford to not have the funds. That way, if they don't pay me back right away or at all, it's not like I am in dire straits without it.

Always take care of your own house before helping other people.


Also, keep a ledger of what people owe you (I am really good at remembering, so ledgers are pretty much unnecessary for me). At the very least, you will have a record of who NOT to loan money to in the future.

I borrow money all the time. I just make sure to return it as prompt as i can manage. And I hardly ever lend money. I just shout if i have enough, that way i don't expect them to pay me back, and in the future maybe they'll return the favour
