in the dystopic genre Brave New World makes 1984 look like Zamyatin's "We." They're all good but BNW is the pinnacle: save yourself the time and just head there straight away.
If you want the literary equivalent of a train wreck : i mean something you seriously can't put down because the author is blowing every moral and ethical buffer in your ****ing brain then read "Juliette" or "Justine" by the Marquis de Sade. seriously. there is really nothing else like him in any bookstore. and don't you dare say "Well, what about 'Candide?'" Why? Because compared to MdS, Voltaire isn't Disney; he's even more innocent and naive than that. In comparison, MdS makes Voltaire sound like Yo Gabba Gabba.
