I'll see what I can do. Do you need shots of the PCB as well or just from the top side?

Applet, could you post pic of bottom of Matias keycap? I'd see its mount position.
Sure, here is a pic of the cap:

EDIT: Modded the PCB to fit my Matias-enter today, it's not pretty but works great (even the stabs) :)

I checked one of my Alps keyboard this morning, it is not an ISO and even not JIS keyboard but it has ISO/JIS type enter key and made by ALPS. This enter key has different mount position from Matias and it also doesn't mach with Rev.A PCB.

I'll fix PCB design for ISO enter key, I think it solves this problems. But if you have a plan to use ISO enter layout check your keyboard.
And post pics of your keycap and keyboard like my pics above.

Fixed. Rev.B supports three different locations for ISO Enter key(K23).

Rev.B

Rev.A

Rev.A users,
did anyone try other case? Currently PokerX and Pure CNC case were confirmed.
Aren't  there anyone with Poker 2 and Poker 3 case to try the PCB?
In particular Poker 3 has no tolerance on its connector hole, so I'd like to know if it can fit into the case.

From first post:
- Confirm case fitness
    - Poker X original plastic case OK OK
    - Pure CNC metal OK
    - Poker 2
    - Poker 3
    - V60
    - Other custom cases
I have on mine a Poker II case amd it works just fine, the USB connector has no clearance problems. Also the alu Hammer case works fine :)

Sorry for the delay in getting back, the light was gone when I got home so had to get these before work this morning :D.

Ignore the dirty plate, this has been on my "manky keyboard" shelf for a few years now, I'll give it some love now that it has a purpose in life :D.

edit - Just to clarify as well, the board is a Dell AT102W.

Thanks for posting the pics.
Dell AT102W Enter looks like same as my Alps board.
Rev.B PCB will work with Dell and Matias ISO Enter key, while Rev.A doesn't work with both of those.

I'll send invoices to all participants tomorrow and order PCB and components before long.

Alps boards have wide variety of caps' form factors,

So we know it's a real hard task!   :thumb:

Updated the order list. Invoices will sent soon.

I changed shipping cost calc a bit, please check it.

Quote
Price
Assembled PCB: $35
includes unsoldered diodes(through hole device). You have to solder the diodes(and switches, of course) yourself.
All SMT components except for the diodes are soldered on PCB by me.

UnAssembled PCB: $22
This includes blank/empty PCB and compoenents including diodes. You have to solder all components yourself.

Raw PCB: $12
    Just blank/empty PCB only.

Shipping: $10   $8.5 + $1.5 * (# of PCB)
Registered air mail with insurance. It takes 7-10 days to most of countries
If you order two PCBs add $2.    Add $1.5 per PCB to base cost $8.5.
Note that shipping cost for a PCB is $10, not $8.5.

For example,
    One Assembled PCB: 35+10=45
    Two Assembled PCB: 35*2+10+2=82 35*2 + 8.5 + 1.5*2 = 81.5

And what you have to know is ISO enter problem which found after this second round begun. Rev.A PCB doesn't work with ISO enter key from Matias and Dell 102W at least. To fix this ISO enter problem I updated PCB design and it became Rev.B now. See posts around this one for the detail.
https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=69740.msg1760955#msg1760955

I expect Rev.B works with Matias and Dell 102W ISO enter key but not confrimed yet.

And check Caveat entries in the first post again before payment.

Quote
Caveat
- PCB design is not changed, quite same as first run(Rev.A). Changed to fix ISO enter problem and PCB is Rev.B now.
- Assembled PCB are soldered all electric components except for diodes and swtiches.
- You'll get unsoldered diodes(around 70) if you order 'Assembled PCB'. Diodes are for Through Hole, not for Surface Mount.
- Raw PCB($12) is available but components are not. Please buy them from digikey, mouser or etc. and you can take components for $10.
- Confirmed the PCB fits into Poker X, Poker II, Hammer Alu and Pure CNC case, but unclear about other cases including Pok3r and V60 at this time. See TODO section below.
- Most of layouts are confirmed but 'Infinity bottom row' and 'bigass enter' are not tried yet. See TODO section below.
- Order will be prioritized depending on the list.

Feel free to ask me if anything is unclear.

Can you please change me to 3 raw pcb please. I have to do a digikey order and I'll pick up the components myself.
Do you have a list of smd parts anywhere with package size? And do you have a precompiled .hex file anywhere?

I'm excited!
The Alps cover 65% of Switzerland's surface area (41,285 km²), making it one of the most alpine countries. Despite the fact that Switzerland covers only 14% of the Alps total area (192,753 km²),[2][3] many alpine four-thousanders (48 of 82) are located in the Swiss Alps and practically all of the remaining few are within 20 km of the country's border.

Glad to hear it Hasu!

For those on the second run, does anyone want to organize a plate GB? I'm not located in the US, so it wouldn't be optimal for me to do it, but perhaps we could get help from the hosts of the first plate GB!

Where would you get the plate mounted stabilizers from?

I think mainly from old ALPS boards.

You would either get the stabilizers from old Alps boards, or use Costar stabilizers with the caps from the Infinity Alps GB.

What layout do people want for a round 2 of plates? nubbinator might be willing to run another round after the first round is complete, if we ask nicely. I would design the plate, if people can come to some consensus about which layout to make.

The bottom row. The Dell AT101w has all 1.25 modifiers on the bottom row (Like a Poker).

I would be down for a Dell plate. The only down side I can see is that the AT101W doesn't have the best keycaps (pad printed ABS).

I'd love a AEK 2 plate. I'd be much happier using a plate as opposed to further butchering an AEK 2 donor board.

My goal is Poker-style ANSI, with either 1.5 or 1.25 mods. I have bigass-enter 1.5 mod sets, and joined the Infinity mod set group buy to modernize the layout and stabs (though I don't have any Costar).  Once upon a time, I had a nice ANSI doubleshot set, but I lost it during a move (must be hiding with some of my missing SMD tools).  So for me right now, my preference would be a plate that would accommodate the Infinity-style stab layout with either 1.5 Ctrl/Alt and 7x space, unless I can find 6.25x space somewhere to then use 1.25x mods.
Cherry: Race with reds and green backlighting, lubed and stickered; Poker X with ghetto-greens (clear springs), Vortex plate, PBT, stickers; Leopold Tenkeyless with browns; Adesso AKP-220B keypad with ergo-clears, lubed and stickered, Cherry doubleshots
Alps: Nan Tan KB-6251EA with complicated blues; Siig Minitouch with complicated blues

I would also love an AEK 2 plate simply because the AEK 2 key caps are really nice.

For me,  AEK2 Caps are The Best of the best caps for many years.    very comfy shape, nice type feeling & thick Dyesub.
Legend Colors vary from dark blue - dark Greenish - dark Purple -ish   :-*

No worries on the price and availability,  relaxed to enjoy typing Dyesub caps everyday.

I love the caps on the AEKII I use at work.

I'm planning on getting one as a donor for this build either from the AEK2 group buy, or on ebay.

Speaking of caps, does a AEK2 sized PBT alps spacebar exist anywhere? I'd love to replace the ABS one on my work board, as well as the one for this build.

Is there a GB for AEK2? I would love to get one too for this 60% build. Link please!

Mainly because I'm doing it out of pocket right now and they are obscenely slow and bad about communication.

Hopefully we can figure out a better way to proceed the second time around, and I'd not want you to do it out of pocket either.

Also do you guys think this case would be a good fit for this project?

Yes, that would be a good one.

You can get it without waiting for Massdrop, here.

That's also a nice case, but a little different from the one I linked! I prefer the Massdrop one with the uniform edge thickness (the MK one is thicker at the front) :)

The black version on MK has the uniform wall thickness. I personally really like the thicker front edge. But Tex confuses me...why change the design and have both floating around for sale without somehow differintiating one from the other?
