Nah, there was this one scene, right? The camera person was next to an open door but the camera angle was set in a way so that you couldn't see the arms of the camera person. The door closed. By magic obviously. And of course the camera person said no way, that door closed on its own. But to be completely honest, I stopped watching because they never update the equipment.

Mr Robot season 2 finale was last night.  Strange season, took a while to get going, but it had some fantastic moments in it.  Ending was good and makes me want more next season.

I've heard that it was pretentious. Did you find that so? I was disappointed severely by the finale of the first season.

The show is certainly cerebral, which turns people off.  The story is all non-linear, which turns people off.  And the women don't take their clothes off, which turns certain people off.

This season (like last) had a predictable secret (just like season 1) that didn't allow the momentum to build quickly enough.  Also, many of the stories dealt with the fsociety crew independantly this season, while season 1 they were a cohesive group.  Having said all that, it did pick up at the end, and was worth the 12 episodes IMO.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. As a huge fan of the first season of Documentary Now I watched the second season.

It was really try-hard and there were two episodes I couldn't even sit through. A big drop in quality IMO

I would very highly recommend the 1st season though.

Ayy, Nihei boys. You should post about it in the anime thread, too.

Just started and blew through all the episodes available for Fargo S3 over the weekend. Saw it with two friends that I had originally introduced the series to, which was awesome.

Other than that, some episodes of Documentary Now! S2 here and there.

It just sucks when they have to end.
I have several shows that I get all emotional at on the last episodes. I'm such a puss.

This week has been quite a good week for bingeing...

Monday I watched the new season of "Twin Peaks", the first three episodes.
Yesterday I binged what's out of "Attack On Titan", S02 E01 to E08.
Today I watched second season of "Master Of None".

Yeah, given I've slept bad and binged a lot I'm not that productive outside work hours.

I strongly disagree. I do not think Ren & Stimpy aged well at all. As a kid I loved it, but I rewatched it when the "unedited" DVDs came out and I did not like them much, if at all.

I remember my parents, and many other parents, being disgusted by the show. I get why they would be, but ~10-year-old me didn't think it was that bad. But now I do.   :-X

At the time they were reaching for the gross factor as strongly as possible, and it worked back then because it was new, but I think it doesn't hold well anymore.

Rocko's Modern Life is a show that I think did the gross factor, albeit mildly, well, and that show, to me, holds well today.

I binged all of House of Cards a couple of months back and am now also in season 3 of Mad Men, which has really lived up to the hype for me so far. Makes me mourn for Game of Thrones and the husk of its former self that it has become.
