U know what's a great drink mip while watching Widow's Bay.

Grape Beam,  1 part whisky, 3 part grape soda.

It's exactly befitting.

Fnished Widow's Bay.

Hrrrrrm.... Well, ok,  but we're in a situation of,  why do "dark forces" need to be so mysterious.

In reality, for example, human beings trade millions of "lives" for "Stuff" or favors all the time.

So, it's quite in the open if you think about it, genocide right under our noses, proxy wars.

Is the allegory really just a micro-reflection of Typical human nature and the helscape that we all stand upon?

If you analyze it, it's a good show, but everything macabre is in fact REAL.

In any case, the writers and directors are clearly exceptionally competent,  season 2 should be solid. And because in this type of story arc, they can always keep the monster behind the curtain,  the audience's imagination fuels its scariness more so than any outright portrayal.

SOLID !

Yep, in those kind of shows its better to keep some monsters uncovered - keeps the audience on their toes:)

I'm a bit disappointed with this quarter's anime lineup. There's nothing that really stands out.

There is a spin-off series in the Toaru franchise: A Certain Darkside Item, but it is a bit slow. I've seen a claim that it adapted only a single chapter from its manga for the whole series...

Some anime have been power-fantasies or sexual fantasies, in ways that are far from acceptable in Western media.
I've seen a couple where the hero saves a sexy orphan girl from debt/slavery — and then acts with dignity towards her. This season, there was one where the "hero" rescues a teenage orphan girl with considerable bust size, pays off her debt with a box of gold bars and then straight up takes advantage of her. WTH!

Former prime minister of Norway, your neighbor, direct connection in the epsti files, including links to swedish UN representatives.

Which japanese perversion is unacceptable "in the west."

If it's acceptable to people all the way at the top, wellllll.... clearly... the narrative is....
