You mentioned looking at the CODE earlier, you could get the non-backlit V2 model with MX Clears and have 'em print a Dvorak layout.
I currently use a Sculpt Ergo at work and brought my TKL V2 a few times, though it's mostly meant to stay at home. No complaints about noise from the nearby cubicles.
I don't have any BS boards to test their reaction... Come to think of it I'd probably just gain "geek cred" with the old timers

More so if I somehow wound up with an old SGI board since that's what they ran years ago. (I keep my eyes peeled when in areas with older gear lying around, just in case.)
